So I make my own music too. Not this genre, so I'm guessing you might not like it, but i'm not some kinda stereotypical wannabe whining on about an ex boyfriend. Its an acoustic/violin instrumental, and I'll post a newer video with the vox. The lyrics are in the description. It would mean a lot if you checked it out. • My Morgue - Ella Keros... Man I feel sad about them splitting ways with Alissa. They really lost something in the newest album, and Prisoners is the only album I still come back to after all this time, the guitar and vocals work is amazing.

She's BY FAR the best female metal screamer/singer out there....If this band doesn't blow up soon......Hell, I don't know what's wrong with metalheads, they should have blown up already!
I like the mastering on this version of both this song and The Escape way more than on the album. Sounds fuller, more mids I think. Like a wall of guitars and sound, while the album versions just sound so thin and underwhelming. Was addicted to both songs when this EP came out.
I always noticed that distinction and I cant even listen to the album version.
Also, this version has different lyrics than that of the album, the section at 1:50 is completely different

agree, hands down best female screamer around, and versatile to boot. too many ppl only liked 'thank you pain' and ignored the rest of it. just went 'hey hot chick singing poppie metal sound, nice' then lost interest... which saddens me alot

@LukeS1504 yeah they really do keep improving...theyre still a young band and they're only going to keep improving. Best melo death sound could be debatable but they do have a unique sound that fits very well together. I love the agonist..one of my favorite bands. I wanna see them tour with in flames or dark tranquility :)

I'ma second that. I saw these guys in Montreal, and it was the first time I ever thought to myself "Damn, that is some amazing drumming!!!." Danny's guitar work is superb as well. I guess a female vocalist is still a novelty to some folks, which is a shame because this is a band of phenomenal musicians all around, not just another female fronted metal band.
They never seize to surprise! fucking amazing as always. Looking forward to the album!!! :D

@morticiaadams Most people who actually like their brand of metal, I think, heard Thank you Pain and just lumped them into a poppy category without giving their other stuff a chance. I've had a few people say, with distain;" They're Metalcore" I'm all "Dude, if you'd listen to more than what they played on the radio, you'd know they are so much deeper than that"

Blown away by the clean vocals, wish the screams were more death or black, less metalcore. Nonetheless, this is excellent. Very excited for this.

I Suppose theres always going to be the exception to the rule. in the case of Avenged. and i totally agree that it SHOULDN'T be entirely about the singer, its just how it is :S
I Personally like to give credit to each member of the band, but then again in some cases one member does just stand out at ridiculously good! as with Les Claypool or Mike Patton

I dont know why but I feel there is smthng wrong with her extreme vocals, sound like a hardcore guy (not a female) but her clean is fucking awsome, she will be perfect for alternative, symphonic or gothic metal, those styles

i accept that all the musicians have there talents, but as with any band, NOT just female fronted ones, the lead singers do get most mention, its a sad truth but still a truth.
i LOVE the guitar's in this, they are amazing, but Alissa just stands out as the 'star' of the band. looks don't even enter into it. (being as you can't see her on CD's XD)
also, Chris Penny is the best drummer XD (just my Opinion)

that is kinda harsh dude, yet, it is partially true, most of the more known american extreme metal bands are not as creative, but america isn't completely lost, there are bands like Woe of Tyrants who have a pretty good sound and deep lyrics, they just aren't popular and are a bit different in standpoint and style (partly due to being a male vocalist and Agonist is female) but aside from that, just the music in general is good, so don't give up on america's metal scene, just have to dig deeper
it's a mix between melodic metalcore and melodic death metal, but it has more melodic metalcore

i want to say so because I AM CANADIAN! but i have to say theres some places in eurpoe that are a bit more refined than canada, but canada is smart enough to not be hated by 3/4 of the world
