They already have your picture up on their website on the page showing the room options that's kind of cool. You are making it hard to decide what I want to do on my short 56 hour trip. I bought booked flights to Phuket from Bangkok on arrival but now I want to do elephants instead. Good thing the flights were only $50. Maya Bay is closed when I go and maybe better off waiting on Phuket until next time. I would just stay in Bangkok but I've already been a few times before COVID.

My experience with elephants 🐘 in Thailand was at Kanchanaburi where the movie "Bridge Over the River Kwai" was shot ! During World War2 the Japanese Army occupied this part of Thailand where the railway was used to transport supplies for the Japanese Army...I rode on Elephants but somehow didn't get to feed them like you did which was really cool !!! We went to stalactite caves in this area ... This was like 10yrs ago! Wouldn't mind coming back to explore other Elephant Reserves in Thailand!!! They are such beautiful, lovely animals with a tremendous memory of people who treat them right !!! They remember you for life ... ❤❤❤
The places that let you ride elephants are the ones to avoid. Elephants aren't made for tourists to ride 😢

I was in the army stationed in Thailand for 26 months. 1968-July 1970. A long time ago but many super fine experiences while there. I was at a small army camp close to Laos. We were building roads and at times pack trains of elephants would come out of the mountains and imagine they were loaded with opium. My unit bought a young elephant for a company mascot. Another idea if you get back to that part of Thailand there are ruby mines can visit and even buy uncut unpolished rubies, I was close to Sakhon Nakon Thailand. I loved the people the culture and the food was awesome. Yup wish could go back.

I have been to Chiang Mai 3 years ago. I went to see the elephant show and it was amazing. It’s was the first time I got close to a real elephant. These animals are amazing and very intelligent. I miss Chiang Mai a lot and I hope to be there sometimes next year.

You are right they are amazing and incredibly intelligent, yet are brutally forced to entertain tourists who should know better in the elephant shows. Perhaps next time you could show more care for these magnificent animals by NOT supporting cruel elephant shows?

I went today and i must say this place is the furthest thing from ethical, i was very disappointed within 2 hours i left the resort. Witnessed abuse and them chaining a mother and baby together isolated for the whole duration. Also saw two of them riding the elephants pulling ears batting them on the head and worst of all my room was near the first small gate they’re enclosed in, every 10 minutes would hear agony coming from the elephants followed by wacking noises. The other staff at the front desk were nice but when i told them i was leaving they told me i was going to get a refund then had a follow up conversation stating i was not getting one and spoke with the manager and was arrogant so it wasn’t worth the hassle. These elephants are literally slaves for tourists and get abused so they will comply. Disgusting, do not go here i was in tears. I honestly believe they delete reviews its very deceiving.
