I am glad you ignore the negativity that people post these days, especially regarding the recent Singham film. These people are part of fan clubs that spread negativity without seeing a film because they don’t want it to be more successful than their favourite actors films.
John i saw ur old channel with ur brother Ralph reviewing reservoir dogs. And i told him to check out kaante as he saw reservoir dogs 🐕 in cinema 🎥 in 92. And he loves it lol.
I enjoyed another good review from you, Quentin Tarantino loved this version. He cited Kaante as his favourite among the many films that were heavily inspired by his work. He praised the film's character-building for going beyond what he was able to do with Reservoir Dogs. Tarantino stated: "Here I am, watching a film that I've directed and then it goes into each character's background. And I'm like, 'Whoa'. For, I always write backgrounds and stuff, and it always gets chopped off during the edit. And so I was amazed on seeing this. I felt, this isn't Reservoir Dogs. But then it goes into the warehouse scene, and I am like, 'Wow, it's back to Reservoir Dogs'. Isn't it amazing!" He also praised Amitabh Bachchan's performance. Tarantino later screened Kaante at his New Beverly Cinema alongside Reservoir Dogs and City on Fire.
Please watch the film ‘Jhund’ starring Amitabh Bachchan and directed by Nagaraj Manjule. It is from 2022 and an excellent film with a serious treatment on issues of youth. It is based on a true story.
Good and fair review. U must've seen the cut censored version on u tube.with bad subtitles. I think it was a good try.far ahead for the time. So it was a average boxoffice hit. Expensive due being shot in la etc.😊
I think it was a good film. Just to contrast your observation, many times Indian locations in Hollywood movies are picturised with yellow/tinted cinematography , like kinda stereotyping , glamorising poverty. On that parallel, I found this cinematography in Kaante quite intriguing and giving it back😂
Big b refused to swear or use hardcore cuss words in Hindi about moms sister etc lol. Also half the action and Bali killing the cop is cut on most versions. I also knew who the obvious cop was too😮😂as hes doing the voice over during the film 🎥😅. If u wanna see big b and Akshay in a film that is original and that inspired Hollywood possible remake see aankhen with big b in a negative role. Or give aks the reflection with big b during the start of the,2000s during his comeback stage and he was really pushing the limit and inspiring people. Cmon guys u lot out there tell John about it...😊❤🙏

@ I think they are pushing very progressive things that the country has rejected. I was an independent early then later on became a pretty staunch Conservative. Pro America, pro military, pro cops, and a belief in smaller govt. Tough to be a Dem with those ideals.

Or say Pelosi's behaviour regarding insider trading for members of congress. Did the above mentioned points bother u about the party? Or they r inconsequential
@ well that was a given. The real story was their coverup of a President that has been in mental decline for 2 years. The whole thing was a scam and that’s why it was a landslide win for Trump…and the country. Modi was one of the first to congratulate him. Pretty cool.
