Heard this song for the first time a few days before my Mother passed away, just this past June. Had planned on sharing this with Her. It didn't click right away, but I saw Her alive and sleeping for the last time when I left my home that morning, just a little after five. Personal ironies seem a way of life these days. This song will forever hold the deepest meaning for me, as well as so many others from all of the comments I've read.
To everyone who is experiencing turmoil or hardship, this is the intent of art; to move beyond words. It's a beautiful thing to know so many are experiencing this together.

The line that made me fall in love with this song. Shows how hard it is to sleep, even with tired bones, with the load on our backs. This just exemplifies every night I’ve ever lied awake long into the night knowing that I wouldn’t be able to sleep because of the yelling, because of my racing brain with all the what ifs. It’s hard. Staying alive is hard, man. Sleeping when you know that the next day will only hurt you more is harder though. Death is hard. Living is harder. Just don’t give up before 5am. You’ll see the light before you know it, friends.

I was listening to this song nonstop a year ago, sitting in the corridor and listening to the sound of explosions in my city. It was the first time after a month when I could put my earphones in and listen to music. I was not sure if I would have another morning, that’s why I didn’t sleep at night at all. This song helped me a lot

I'd also recommend "Hearing," "Atlantic," "Moon," "saturn," and "Uranus" all by Sleeping at Last, they all have a slow and uplifting sound as "Arctic" does.
After being an 18 year old victim of child abuse who packed essentials and crashed on couches until realizing I'm a burden to everyone, I realized the selfishness of humanity. Our basic needs according to Maslow's hierarchy are food and shelter. When you're deprived of those things and in need of the most help, people are unwilling. Even if I paid rent, kept everything clean, became good friends with their roommates and family, nobody wanted to keep me around. Maybe living in a wealthy area, where the melting pot is so evident that trust isn't really a thing, stirs up this lack of empathy. The homeless who are homeless for reasons beyond them are treated like scum. Fortunately I work in an organic market where I have the best food possible. This song is inspiring me to reflect on all of this right now.. Sorry for my rant.

the thing about this is that, yes, this world is full of cruel people, who dont understand, who wont accept anybody, and wont take in the hurt. and its sad and like you said selfish. yet at the same moment its sad that the good people are often the ones who shine through the least. and when your in those situations you dont see the good of people or what positive affect is going on around the world because i promise you, so many people , if you had met the right people, would have taken you in as long as you needed and loved and provided. and, just, if you ever have kids of if you ever marry etc and try to live a normal life the rest of your life, do the best you can to be kind to, and be the best parent, and spouse etc and to everyone... dont let you past and peoples past decisions affect your future outcome of goodness to people and to yourself. and you ranted so i will rant to lol

Simplicity, powerful vocals and above all lyrics delivering meaningful truth that can hit us all about someone we love, have loved or sadly lost.
I dont usually comment on anything online, but this has just made me stop in my tracks at work for its entirety and brought back all the feelings about someone that I never really told how I felt. Only advice I can ever give that I should have listened to myself - let them know now, not later.

The video tells more perfectly the meanings in this song. Like the darkness that orbits overhead, as does the light as it takes over. The clarity shines on and gives an even greater understanding to the story in this song. It does more than just stir our souls, it moves it to our very core. And that is the gift he’s given us. To me, this is what beautiful means.

The first time I ever heard this sobg was on January 1 2019, ny friend played it for me at 4:58.
I found this song when living in the hole that it depicts in my late 20s and early 30s. Without it, I may have never made it through alive. It used to sing me to sleep when up against it and barely alive. Thank God I got help. Change is possible. Don’t ever give in. You’ll find your way through. I heard of Amber Run from my good friend. She got me hooked on I Found, and at the time, I was having doubts about my friendships. Usually, when I'm depressed, I just learn a new song. (I play alto, tenor, and baritone sax, and I love learning songs for them.) But hearing everything from them? It made me crave sheet music for them. So I can play their songs to convey the emotions I wanna showcase. But I can see that no one can do it better than them. Safe to say I'm now a huge fan.

Between depression, anxiety, loneliness never finding a true relationship and being 28 all of it combined pushed me away from the gym and my friends and sent me into a binge of alcohol the past 2 months straight at home ... And it pushed me to where I literally broke and went in to detox feeling judged and I just got out of detox literally today... With a clear head and realizing it'll be hard but this song will just hit me hard back in the gym now ..
