Is this book of serging new for the QE or is the same that came with the L890 originally? Is there an upgrade kit for the original 890 to update it to QE? Are the built in tutorials different on the QE than the original 890?
@@bobriddle1965 we have the big book of serger quilting available at the store now and it is different than the other book as it focuses on quilting. Everything about this machine is the same except the color and what it comes with. The “upgrades” to make your 890 and Quilter’s Edition is similar to what you would add to a sewing machine. You need the #C27 clear foot, #C24 shirting foot, seam guides, new and improved foot shank, #C12 coverstitch Compensation foot. All available at BERNINA of Naperville, in addition we have the Amanda Murphy patterns, and soon the fabric kits, and thread kits to make the project.

I was working in my LQS on the Bernina side and bought my machine after I unboxed and sewed in the store model. Definitely will need the shank. Thank you for the quick reply. I get so much information from your videos. Wish I lived closer but it's a trek from Idaho.@@BERNINAofNaperville
