I think we all know that, like pharaohs did with their servants, Sona is going to be buried with Conan so she can continue assisting him in the afterlife.
The fact that Conan has specified to her… that makes it sound like Conan believes that Sona will probably be in his life for the rest of his life. And that’s just really sweet to know
So I have a huge fear of dying and I was having a panic attack and existential crisis but Conan being so funny and candid about his life actually made me feel better. I mean this from the bottom of my heart, thank you
I'm sure this won't help but I find some comfort in 2 very true facts about death: 1. It's total. No halfsies here, you're gone means you're gone for good and with all parts and abilities. Therefore...you're not going to be sad or lost or anything, you're just GONE. No emotions, no thoughts, it's just over, you're out, off, not here anymore. There may be black nothingness or white glare, YOU don't see it, you're not confronted with anything, you aren't anymore. So what are you really afraid of? Being missed. We have ways to help your family and friends with that and it's not YOUR issue at all...you don't have issues, you don't have a conscience or a body! 2. It happens to EVERYONE and everything that's alive. Yeah it probably sucks to die but bottom line is this: My whole being as a human, my personality, is just a function of the cells in my body cooperating as an organism. I am because of the way my cells are. That eventually ends because they'll stop replacing each other. We all breath air, we all poop, we all die. That's because those are the things a body does and when mine expires, I'll be done making shitty comments that help noone. Big deal...we're passengers on a ride that has to end somewhere. Trust me, i can't explain why those 2 things actually help me, but maybe they at least made someone else smile for a moment I think they normalize death to the point where it's a part of life that a life just needs to have. It ends. It had to, no way around it...so face it head on so you at least get to see it coming ;)
There should be a museum or permanent gallery about Conan and all his props, where everything is displayed from his days in Harvard and all the way to this podcast and allowing room for his next shows, hopefully for the next 100 years because that's how long he is going to live
Yeah, they did that with Henson and all of his stuff, which I learned about years ago on Conan, funny enough, I can imagine it really well actually and genuinely I can't imagine a more fun and just visually interesting museum than that one would be, nor a more worthy TV personality to have a museum for. I've said it before once in another comment on one of his videos but he is genuinely a TV and Media legend. Like in a hundred years young comedians will be listing him as their inspiration the way comedians like him reference the first great people in comedy who started the industry.
Dude, I'd love the chance to sift through 30+ years of things Conan has collected & purchase something. Dude's been a part of my life for more than 20.
Likewise! If that happens I’ll be there. But man… if he does want it burned for some personal reason I’d accept it. But I think him knowing people would really appreciate the stuff, maybe that’d change his mind. It came off like he seemed to assume no one was into it. That everlasting catholic guilt he talks about so much lol. And not so much some principle based thing. We can continue to hope! :) it’s really cool that he’s kept everything.
i would say my main early comedic influences in life are jim carrey in my young years, and almost simultaneously, conan o'brien and george carlin to bring me into adulthood - what a treasure this man is, we must protect him at all costs
@Crippy Reacts friends is a horrible show but I'm glad he was able to make a contribution to make it less horrible. monorail on the other hand is a classic
Repetitive and boring? That may be true, but am I to assume that you have one favorite meal, that you would eat regularly without tiring of it, but all other meals are something new each time?
@@timothygraham4304 nope I have several favorite meals. Same with TH-cam. I watch several different genres and different creators. Just because I dislike other late night shows doesn’t mean I don’t watch anything else. I like Conan… and a bunch of other stuff. I just don’t like late night in general except Conan. Your logic.. is flawed sir.
I love how Sona is so ingrained as Conan's assistant, that she's also going to be the Executor of his will 🤣🤣🤣 which he may end up officially naming "Citizen Conan". This is one of many reasons why I think of Conan and Sona collectively as "Sonan".
This video made me extremely sad. There were so many times in life, when i wasnt able to sharemy feelings, just sad, and watched a video of conan or billburr or norm and help me get through that day. the world would be a lot les fun without Conan. Hope he gets to live a long healthy life.
Thank you. We need this podcast. Conan is way beyond a genius level comedian and sona and matt play so well off his wake. Can you imagine the the style of the current late night shows without him?
Penn and Teller used to (still do?) have a Cenotaph (a grave for burials without a body, like lost at sea?) at Forest Lawn with the 3 of clubs that says "Is This Your Card?"
Reading her book at the same time as going through these clips of the podcast which I never watched before, she made the joke that she's going to be his assistant until he dies or she dies, and honestly I believe it. First of all, if she had any other boss other than him, she would be fired by now because she is a terrible assistant. The only reason she is even employed is because he's her boss and they have transcended employer/employee and going to either friends or siblings at this point. So yes, I do think this is going to be her job until he leaves this earth. She also says that even if she was fired, she would get another job and her professionalism would return and she would act differently because it's another job. But when you read the portions of the book when she actually talks about having other jobs, her professionalism always tails off at a certain point and she stops being productive. Continuously. So this is really the only job for which she is suited. 😂 This is really going to carry her into retirement. She's going to forget to pick up Conan's cholesterol medication again at some point, he's going to die, and then she has to make sure that he's not buried in Forest Lawn cemetery 😂
Might as well spend some of that hard earned cash on some irreplaceable and priceless memorabilia from Jay Leno and throw those in the fire...but that would have to happen when you're still with us, Conan. We need to hear your maniac laughter set to that beautiful imagery ;)
I think we all know that, like pharaohs did with their servants, Sona is going to be buried with Conan so she can continue assisting him in the afterlife.
”Assisting”.
let's make this happen! Where do I sign??
But she has 3 gentlemen to look after
I feel like she could continue her level of service from above ground...
@@Psykel i literally did the airquotes as i was reading the comment 😂
On his death bed he will whisper to the world... "There are no strings on me."
He was a real boy.
There are no strings attached 😉
I love that sona knows Conan's graveyard preferences
I came here to make this comment. He has told her that so many times that she actually remembers the name of the cemetery off the top of her head.

He Also made bender cry
When it gets to Conan's "alabaster statue of a woman" crack, that's where I had to pause for about three minutes' worth of laughing uncontrollably
The earnest face Gourley makes when Conan says the burning should be shot in black and white
Conan has always been my favorite. He's so funny when he's not even trying 😁
Definitely a natural and he's just a real person about it ...very rare in his line of work. Or in life in general. He's awesome
Conan’s last words. “Kedakei!!! As god made her.”
These three truly love each other's company.
7:15 Gourley’s disturbed “oh!” at Conan’s burial wish
I will never stop laughing!! These 3 are amazing!!
Conan makes people so happy.

@Crippy Reacts I dont think he wrote for Friends. Simpsons and SNL

The podcast is so funny. I listen to it every often especially when I'm feeling down
Sona felt real emotional during this . She just laughed it off. But they are are bro and sis so.
These guys have such an amazing ability to crack each other up, such a joy!!
Gorley looks like Joaquin Phoenix if he was trying to pass a a regular guy and not get attention at a restaurant.
Hearing Conan laugh is hilarious 😆

He has mentioned this twice now, so Conan has to do a cameo on Law and Order as a corpse in Central Park.
CONAF just got voted best podcast for sports lovers by ESPN.. So happy for you guys!
He wouldn’t have lost so much weight on the tour if you’d just gotten his takeout orders right, SONA.
I feel like Conan could do a special remote that's just him selling all of that stuff in a massive garage sale.

It was a raccoon with a jetpack, and Conan gave it to Amanda Seyfried.
Yes, as seen here: th-cam.com/video/AsUvgwD8pCs/w-d-xo.html
Was she impersonating Elizabeth Holmes at the time? Because Conan admitted that's his ultimate fantasy.
Supposedly Conan gave that "jetpack raccoon" to Amanda Seyfried because she had a taxidermy collection.
Conan should do a video it'd be fun to see a video of all the things through coins career notepads of ideas and props that he used
LOL!!!! I love this so much🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Soma's Last Laugh is a great title for another book!
i think Conan's rosebud would be his poorly peeled butcher cover
I just want to see Conan string dance on loop to Shakira's "Hips don't lie."
Happy Birthday Conan O'Brien🎂🍾04-18-2022!
Sona is stuck lol ...... love it
The references in this clip is awesome, to past Conan works. Way more coherent than One Piece Manga references today.
They need to have Jordan Schlansky on the show.

Is it just me or did they upgrade conan's camera alone ?
If they did a time lapse study of Conan's hairdo over the years it would be entitled The Case of the Gradually Disappearing Pompadour.
is there any way to watch the entire podcast?
