  • With just finishing touches left to this board, we undergo a little review into the things that went into designing this board on the considerations that were took, some parameters that are explained and reasons to why you might see certain things on some designs and not others.
This motor driver board is capable of running two 1.5A motors or one 3A motor depending on the configuration and the IC of choice the drv8835 is a perfect choice for doing so. Perfect for small projects where you are using small motors commonly found with Arduino kits or electronic hobby kits but also for evaluation and learning.

Good stuff man, although I find it a bit hard to understand what your saying sometimes, don’t be afraid to slow down a bit to get your thoughts out clearly. This stuff is complicated, and from experience I’ve learned that rushing, especially with electronics leads to faulty boards and design headaches. Also a lot of your silkscreen had vias on top, stitching vias are great and should be used if the top and bottom layer of your board are ground but they shouldn’t intersect with silkscreen, this will create holes in the text when produced. Definitely a step up from your other designs though good stuff

Thanks man, I’ll take that on board. Yes definitely! I’ve had some cases where, though the vias are tented like you said the silkscreen gets printed but still comes out funny or holes still appear in the text. Though like you said if can move silkscreen off it then always better. Thanks!
