i enjoyed your video! We also did this route. We did Vancouver to LA last year and it took about 24 hours. We were going to get a hotel but then decided it is probably easier to drive during the night. We might do it again this summer
Love the video part 2. Good grief those gas prices are expensive in California. If anyone is interested in the first song that was playing it by the following and the title. (King Canyon - Keep On Movin).
Where was that 'Indian' food trailer. What is the actual speed /MPH average that you cruise @? under ideal conditions. I once drove from Ensenada to Lund, BC in one go. just stopping for food, gas, and a shower in Portland. Great Music. Keep EV Trippin.
Food trailer was somewhere between LA and SF don’t remember the exit tbh sorry but we just saw a sign and decided to stop by. Average speed was around 65-70 mph I think. Thanks for the kind words and yes definitively happy EV trippin. Thank you!
Yes I could have made it further without stopping. It’s generally to optimize charging stops. EV batteries generally have a charge curve and they charge faster when empty. Over simplify it but it’s probably takes the same amount to time it takes charge from 0-80 than from 80-100
@@Richman85definitely not, my dad and I roadtripped a few times in his M3 SR and it was still incredible because of the supercharging network, put the address in Tesla’s trip planner and let it do everything for you, it will tell you how many times you need to stop and for how long. It’s great! 😄
@@wandring0spirit I meant the one station with 50 charging stalls with only 2 or 3 of them occupied. Rather have more stations with 10 charging stalls spaced out.

Definitely doable in a straight run easy, I was just bit extra tired from my days in LA lol
Another cool video. One of the superchargers in WA was in my hood...
Appreciate it. I want to take another road trip so bad.

Thank you for your kind words. Already planning a new road trip.
Very nicely done road trip video. Did you use a dashcam to record the driving scenes?
I have a dji action camera
You know the left lane is just for overtaking, right?

Might be near Buttonwillow.
why so many charge stops? could you have made it further between stopping to charge?

Interesting video - Is your car a SR+ or LR? Also did you use autopilot for most of the drive?
LR and yes Autopilot mostly, wouldn’t dare to do it without some sort of drive assist system.
I have a SR+ you think it would be a problem if I do the same trip ?

how much did the trip cost total for supercharging?
About 330 usd for full round trip about 4K miles
@@elevensquareev 330 USD from Vancouver to LA and back?
Why they build so many charging stations when it’s so empty? Does it ever get full?
Charging stations were built to have comfortable travel anywhere in any direction. And yes some location do get full during rush hours.
Why do they build so many gas filling stations for ICE ? There’s one every 5 or 10 miles along the highway!

Pytube777, the charging centers are planned for the future when there are many more EVs. That capacity will get used in time.
@@pytube777 That station started with a few, when it got to bust they built more to accommodate.
