its a tough one cause i never listened to anybody and built what i wanted the way i wanted and things worked out. the high wing models like the super cub are really easy to build and work well with just rudder and elevator and throttle. of the war birds i think this kit 402 laser cut and built as a belly lander without landing gear is a real good flying model.just spend the little extra money on laser cut kits and they build so much more easily and it makes it so much more enjoyable. have fun!=D
hi, i use hangar9 park lite on almost all of my guillows builds. it is very lite and super easy to work with and seriously i havnt seen a wrinkle yet that wouldnt come out with high heat. check out Callie graphics for unique markings. order the 1/16th scale and it is just a hair larger than the factory decals. the factory decals will flake off in just a short period of time without a clear coat . this very model is now sporting callies "section eight" markings and looks super cool =D
Very nice job. A bit small for my old eyes, but I like what you have done. 40 something years ago I built a Comet J3, 010 glow motor, with pulse rudder only. Still have it, but again, too small so I don't trust my self..........Pete
Thank You.40 years ago I dreamed of doing this @ that time a servo weighed as much as this plane.R/C has come a very long way in my lifetime. it's very rewarding to have been able to make these builds happen.
thats got to be the nicest flying guillows kit ive seen yet.. geat job!!!.. i just ordered a hellcat and a p51 . going to try and make rc. any idea why the p51 flys better than the others?
hi, Thanks! the p-51 is just a great air frame. i think that the guillows airfoil with this kit really works out for powered flight.some models like the p-40 really need allot of work with the airfoil. c/g is important with this model as well. good luck with the hell cat. i have seen good results with that kit =D
those were great days! for about 5 years i flew this piece of dead end road on the edge of town . then a year and a half ago they put in a solar energy power grid and that was the end of my own private idaho....i still have other top secret spots to fly from.=D
I've wanted to convert a Guillows kit since I built my first rubber band free flight one as a kid. I am now inspired to do one. Thanks for sharing!
Very nice conversion, and well flown. It's not easy to build such a small model that flies so well.
thank you, it really is a fun, good flying model. this one is still flying =D
小さくても、スケール機体 大型機体に負けないフライトとスケール感 最高です。
Amazing, very nice build. I was impressed by what seemed like a fairly low landing speed.
Love these Guillows conversions, nicely built and flown too, thank you for uploading these gems.
It's amazing to see such a small plane flying so smoothly.
WOW! I have a Horizon Hobby P-51D coming today, and this video is making me jealous!
Great build and flight! "Buzzin' the Beans" That's cool!
Nice!!! I’m gonna do this with my kit!
Amazing flight test and flawless landing...you flew it like ya stole it...great job, if my build ends up anywhere close I'll be thrilled.
Awesome! I built this plane but couldn't image actually flying it!
thank you shawn. I really enjoy flying this one.
Sweet!
Very impressive. Guillows are the bomb.
Another beauty. Just went to the RC Groups link...thank you. What you say is a good plane to try for a beginner to intermediate balsa builder?

Congratulations. I hope you'll push your hat cam up a bit for the next video so we can see the higher altitude fly-bys.
hi, thanks! if you look on my channel i put up another video of this model a few weeks ago with a much better video angle.=D
Have you ever had a hawk chase one?
Yep. Had a crow carry one of my umx planes away
Can you be able to sell conversion kits for me id be a customer for you i want to build a gas powered version
Sure. But uts very easy to make yourself or buy an arf
Very good
Hi very nice mustang. I want to build the same kit and i am not sure about using the right material for covering. what did you use?

Cool
Wow!! we could have won the war much earlier with silence alone... nice P-51.

Too small a plane to see in the air flying.
