Thank you ☺️ Our ancestor altar is above our fireplace. We have pictures of our deceased loved ones & trinkets of theirs. I am always burning candles, and there are several wine glasses & plates for beverages and food. (I like to leave ginger snap cookies) we have flowers and seashells because we live on the coast.
Como en todos sus videos..bien explicado..simple..con EXCELENCIA!Mil gracias, porq he aprendido muchisimo a travez de todos sus videos.Muchas Bendiciones!

I am new in this channel and I love the way you explain everything with a anthropological perspective wich is so important for me. Since I was a child espiritismo was very close to my life and I grew up loving everything about spirits and energies of the universe.
When my parents died i was given both crosses but in gold were do i put them in my home my mother is in a cemetery and my fathers ashes are with me .thank you also your voice caught my ear lovely voice kinda soothing as i found your videos
how very beautiful! yes, I'm working with my loved ones, & I feel simple & uncluttered is best. I'm feeling into it love this video its sincerity is beautiful. bless you xx
Very interesting and insightful. Thank you for sharing your many wonderful insights regarding Espiritismo. Wishing you and yours blessings, peace and well-being.
Muy Buen Video ! Un Bello Altar sencillo pero con mucha energia! Me gusta como explicas las cosas muy claras y presisas. My Altar is very similar, Mis respetos Luis y muchas Bendiciones gracias por compartir este video. Saludos desde Barranquitas Puerto Rico..
I like to burn palm leaves that were blessed during Palm sunday of holy week with frankincense and myrrh. My grandmother taught me that the blessed palm banishes bad spirits and welcomes love and joy, frankincense symbolizes Life and lifts your prayers to God, & myrrh symbolizes death and helps you to talk to the ancestors
I feel very interested in your tutoring, y me identifico mucho también con su spanglish 😅, me gusta tener el conocimiento en ambos idiomas. Blessed Be.
Thank you for sharing this with us. It is beautiful. I am glad you take the view of culture and tradition as a living, organic, evolving things. You are right about prayers and poems. I also agree with you with how these things have to be personal as well as traditional. Your videos really inspire me to share my own tradition and rituals. Like yours, mine is also a combination of various things. (So are every culture and tradition in the world actually). Blessings to you!!!
Espiritismo as that which evolved in Puerto Rico is based on three cultures, European Spanish, West African influences and Taino Indigenous beliefs. The way of our Ancestors may not be the way we practice them today as traditions evolve or simulate with the culture around it. Much of Puerto Rican Espiritismo Criollo has it's influence in Taino Traditiones but it is not the same as Taino Spiritual or religious beliefs, which were more Shamanistic, with the beliefs of the Hupia, Maboya, and the realms of Goiz, Turey and Coabey. these elements are still present but simulated and transformed with the European and African influences, making Espiritismo or Folk Spiritualism unique to each culture.
+SANCISTA BRUJO LUIS I seek your permission to quote you on this to illustrate a point about culture :) Will let you know once I use the quote and copy you the link to the page I am drafting :)
Do you just set up an altar and pray to your ancestors and build a relationship with them or how do you begin to work with your ancestors and spiritual corte?
great video it answer alot of ? i had in mind for some time now. but one ? how do u clean off water marks or calcium build up from the water glass on the altar ?
I wash my fuentes with a clean sponge with either African Black Soap or Cascarilla. warm water, I never let that build up. they always get washed when I replace and refresh them .
does one have to be baptised to own altars? what is a altar i can set up to communicate with ancestors whom i do not know of. ? and can one set it up how one feela as in maybe the spirit is guiding them to set it up that way?i have heard dofferent thing and i want to set it up correct. you have great information keep it up!
Hello Luis thank you for this video, it is both simple and enlightening. Do you know any specific prayers for a family member who is very ill and weak? Many blessings and keep up the wonderful work that you do.
I read your blog post about working with Arabian ancestors and tiny mentions in the videos. I know I have one in my spiritual court and have been working with him. No name yet. I'm wondering what else I should be doing with/for him?
thank you for making this video. where can I have this table? I am limited to my room. I was thinking of getting a room divider so that it shows its their space. would this be okay? any suggestions are greatly appreciated :)
Thank you for this video. It is actually very helpful. I have one question. Can you put living relatives/ancestors on this altar or should we have a separate altar. Thank you and god bless
This is beautiful, so it isn't necessary to have pictures of one's ancestors or to have a candle and glass for each person on the altar? I'm so happy you made this video, because I've been wanting to ask someone about this :) Hugs.
No we keep other Fuentes for Spirit Guides. and many don't know how to work their Spirit Guides or who they are, but remember the One Fuente symbolizes your DNA your Ancestral DNA that resides within you as a whole one person, so to represent them as a whole, we use one Fuente. we only honor those who passed a natural way and lived a good life. those that commuted suicide or were murders or rapists are not venerated on this altar. for those wondering about this question. I should do a Video on this :)
You're an awesome teacher! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to explain this to me. I've been so confused on how to go about this correctly. I really appreciate your help :)
What is your opinion of honoring a ancestor who was killed? I've heard different ideas on this topic, just wondering how that works in your traditions.
many of our ancestors were killed. many Taino, many African Slaves, Gypsies, in Maria Lionza they have a group who follow and honor those that were killed or died a violent death.
thank you so much for this video just what i been looking for as I will be setting up a boveda. soon. and I also see you have just 1 big glass of water so I'm guessing I don't need all 7 or 9 glasses of water or can I just put all 7 or 9 of them up and take them down from time to time leaving just the one big one up just to change it up a little. also i have another question would it be OK if another family member like my mom set at my boveda to pray for our loved ones or dose it just have to be me? agine thank u so much for this video and all that u do. may God and all the saints keep blessing u thank u
+Eric woods just one is fine if you dont know all your spirits depend on lineage 6 and 1 big one=7 glasses or 9 plus 1 main one =10 is what I generally see, yes families share one in a house, some people have taboo on 8 small ones and 1 big one=9 because of the number represents all random dead
Many people are putting all these Fuentes without a Misa or a knowledge as to for whom each one is for. I always recommend one as a whole, until a proper Misa , or Sesion so that you know for which one each one is for.
+Magick and the Occult thank you bro. for the clarification. because I was going to put all 9 not knowing. but now I know. and as far as misas. will have to look in to that I'm here on l.a and don't know anyone that can help me with my spiritual path. so I turn to TH-cam.... so thank to all you who post video and share. it's greatly appreciated blessings to you all
one book is my own titled Luz y Progreso Manual for Developing in Puerto Rican Espiritismo by Sancista Brujo Luis, other is Mesa Blanca by Freddie Guevara.
Many Old school Jibaro people enjoyed their poems, and meditated alot on written words and music. many of the psalms can be seen as poems and many prayers. anything that is said to uplift the soul and the spirit helps. Remember Spiritism is not a doctrine full of creeds, it's one personal connection to one's Ancestors. what may work for one may not work for another.
Many of the prayers in the Colleciones de Espiritismo are poems, such as El Naufrago and Contemplación de la Luna. those are not prayers but spiritual poems
This is the first time I've ever heard someone reading a poem to a dead person I mean it sounds more like Wicca or New Age movement I just believe we should keep it traditional the prayers to God from the Bible or from a prayer book I'm old school
+Octinomos 007 Let's not disrespect others religious views, Wicca or other wise. Espiritismo is not a religion but a Spiritual path, and what may be good for one may not be good for another. Much of the Bible has poems, lol The Psalms to mention one section, and again Allan Kardec included many Poems. La Plageria del Naufrago, And Contemplación de la Luna to mention a few.
+SANCISTA BRUJO LUIS This Poem as are many in the Book de Colección de Oraciones Espiritistas is more a poem than a prayer. QUE BELLA ES LA LUNA, SU ROSTRO DE PLATA. ASOMA EN LAS NUBES, RASGANDO SU TUL. QUE VELA EN LOS MARES SU IMAGEN RETRATA, CON TINTAS BRILLANTES, EN FONDO DE AZUL. QUE GRATO SU AROMA DESPRENDEN LAS FLORES, QUE BAÑA EL AROYO CON SORDO RUMOR. QUE DULCE Y TRANQUILO SU CANTO DE AMORES, EXTIENDE EN LA SELVA, FELIZ RUISEÑOR. QUE PURO LOS RAYOS EN MI ALMA RELUCEN, QUE AMANTES LOS ECOS ANELO ESCUCHAR. QUE GRANDE DIOS MIO TU AMOR REPRODUCEN, LAS AVES, LAS FLORES, EL MAR, Y LA LUNA. QUE BELLA ES LA LUNA, QUE GRATAS LAS FLORES. QUE DULCE ES EL CANTO DE AQUEL RUISEÑOR. QUE GRANDE DIOS MIO ES LA LUNA, Y QUE GRANDE DIOS MIO ES SU AMOR.
Thank you ☺️

¡Luz y Progreso pa'ti y tus espíritus!
Love the video I love so much how you explain things so simple.... I love it. Many Blessings
Thank you padrino. It gives me a new respect for ancestors who I feel disconnected from sometimes.
without knowing where we came from we will never know where we are going, remember it is on their shoulders that we are carried through in life.
much Love I really enjoy all your videos

Much blessings.
Fabulous video. I"m still in hospital being investigated.
Very informative. I think I was trying to put too much on my Ancestral Altar. Thank you for showing a simple set up.
keep it simple and clean, to much materials might not be good for ones Ancestors whose mane goal is to cross into the light and elevate.
@@SANCISTABRUJOLUISwith all respect can you please tell me if you put your ancestor pictures on the altar ever or at all? Thank you…
Tienes hasta un guerrero, with all do respect you need to protect your cuadro espiritual.

Hello Luis thank you for this video, it is both simple and enlightening. Do you know any specific prayers for a family member who is very ill and weak? Many blessings and keep up the wonderful work that you do.

Thank you for this video. It is actually very helpful. I have one question. Can you put living relatives/ancestors on this altar or should we have a separate altar. Thank you and god bless
Living family members should not be on the altar
Where can I find that large water bowl to put on my altar ? I searched for it on Amazon without any luck of finding it.
Wal-Mart
do you work with Santisima Muerte
