This year was kinda insane. I find Happier to be an interesting track, I don't hear a lot of these ballads where the person is trying to separate for the other persons benefit. It's a pretty good description of that thought process, where the songwriter is clearly in the wrong to try to save the other person, but it's also a very human idea to believe that someone is better without you. Simple yes but understandable, I don't think I've ever listened to the song outright but I somehow know all of the words. Anyone who works in retail or customer service probably has to, and considering how horrible some of the songs that I have to listen to unconscentually are, it's not bad. And I wouldn't mind if someone played it in front of me.
