This helped great.. The positive wire was GONE from mine , bought it last year , and now easy fix. Checked the stator , regulator and now finally it will charge when i make a positive wire for the regulator to battery. :D Thx :D

Thanks a ton for putting this up! If the readings are not similar, .49. .50. .80, does that mean it’s a bad rectifier?

Hi, What is its maximum charging current?

Hi may I ask where high beam indicator light get the power from ?? Direct from coil magnet or rectifier or battery ?? I never notice it before but recently I find my bike high beam indicator's light get very weak without giving throttle. Thanks first

I had try to pull out this unit from terminal socket and it still sending electric current to battery and head light became too bright if let engine's rpm ramp up more. So eventually burned out mentol... lol

Hi I have a 1987 tw200 and the rectifier looks identical to the one that you tested. Do you think the pin outs will be the same? Thanks

Test them and see what readings you get. Most reg/rec's are one of two types - earth through the case of the reg/rec itself or earth through a pin. One has 4 pins the other has 5.

@@swisstralian_biker hi again so I tested the rectifier and got 545 across all the pins except for one .it read 762.Do you think it's bad?thanks for your help

Hi mate, the nature of your question indicates you may not fully understand the test. It is not about the readings themselves, but about consistency. If the numbers across the 3 phases aren't within about 10% of each other, you've likely got a bad circuit. The reg/rec's aren't that expensive so if in doubt just replace it.

@@swisstralian_biker lol I definitely don't fully understand electrical problems. That being said if I buy a Chinese rectifier will the pin outs be the same and if not how do you figure it out? Thanks Stu
