Just to add the time frame elvis death was in 1977, he probably wrote it after that maybe 1978 and was released in 1979... Also in many later live performances he went way more elvis also with the moves to make it more clear...

I saw this Queen at The Beacon Theatre in Manhattan NY early in their career. It was a maybe 5000 seat playhouse theatre, and I was in the frikkin third row. I was less than thirty feet from the band for most of the show. They were touring to promote their recent release album "A Night At The Opera" and they Foggin ROCKED.

I think you're ready for Queen at Live Aid, The benefit for Ethiopian famine that had 75 acts and 2 bilion people watching on live TV. It's 20 minutes you won't forget and Queen's performance is regarded as one of if not the best live performance by a rock band ever.
I'd also love to see you do some of their other live performances. Trust me, some of the songs you've already done are like totally different songs when done live. Somebody to Love live in Montreal and Another One Bites the Dust live at Wembley to name two. Freddie starts scatting in the latter. :D

You may have heard this before but here it goes. The guitarist is Dr. Brian May Ph.D. in Astrophysics. He was part of the naming of an asteroid after Freddie.
(wiki)On 4 September 2016, one day before what would have been Freddie Mercury's 70th birthday, the International Astronomical Union and the Minor Planet Center named the asteroid after Mercury, as it was discovered the same year as Mercury's death, and its provisional designation included his initials, FM. The approved naming was announced by Mercury's Queen bandmate Brian May at Montreux Casino to mark Mercury's 70th birthday.
(wiki)17473 Freddiemercury, provisional designation 1991 FM3, is a stony Massalian asteroid from the inner regions asteroid belt, approximately 3.4 kilometers in diameter. The asteroid was discovered on 21 March 1991, by Belgian astronomer Henri Debehogne at ESO's La Silla Observatory in northern Chile, and later named in memory of Freddie Mercury.
    Rock On!

Shiloh, you are doing a wonderful job exploring the world of Queen, and bringing joy to the masses in the meantime! Their early stuff is just as good as the well known songs, and if you don't mind a couple of suggestions (there are probably not videos for these - just the music, but so great nonetheless), you could try "In The Lap of the Gods", a trilogy of songs called "Tenement Funster/Flick of the Wrist/Tenement Funster" and at some point you may want to try Side Black of the album called "Queen II". Amazing stuff! Enjoy your Queen journey and thank you for exposing these tunes to a new generation!

After you've become more familiar with their more popular songs you need to watch their 20 minute performance at Live Aid. One of the greatest live performances in the history of rock. They did this tune in that performance as well as parts of Bohemian Rhapsody , Radio Gaga, We Are the Champions, Hammer To Fall. The Live Aid performance is also recreated in the movie Bohemian Rhapsody from a couple of years ago. You should watch that too; it's really well done.

For more Queen, I highly recommend "Play the Game" and "Princes of the Universe". Next, I recommend that you get the Led out and react to some Zeppelin. "In My Time of Dying (live at Earls Court)", "When the Levee Breaks", "The Song Remains the Same", "Achilles Last Stand", and "The Ocean" are fantastic. For some mellow Zeppelin, you can't go wrong with "That's the Way", "Ramble On", or "Going to California".

React to: WHITE QUEEN, live at the Hammersmith Odeon - his voice and instrumentation are out of this world. Brian wrote this song about a girl he liked in college but was too shy to approach...it's like a Shakesperean sonnet. Also React to PLAY THE GAME, live at Milton Keynes, Freddie is totally out of control. Someone said he was angry about something..amzing performance

You seem to have watched a lot of the official videos, you should really finish off your journey with Queen at their best....live! Freddy Mercury was the ultimate frontman for any band, ever, that's where you really see him at his best.
I would recommend watching the entire Live Aid set (They stole the whole show) in front of 90,000 people at Wembley Arena (1.4BILLION people watched live on TV, 40% of the global television viewing public at the time). Their Montreal live set is also amazing with Somebody to love being particularly good. One of my favourite tracks is "Who wants to live forever" from their Highlander soundtrack (They also wrote the soundtrack for "Flash Gordon" which is a lot of fun).

“Fat Bottom Girls” is Queen playing American Southern Rock, and this is them playing 50’s rock!

I know I'm watching your vids out of order and still adding comments, but I just found your channel an subscribed.
One of my greatest joys as an elder sole custody father was sharing music with my daughter and her friends. They'd request that I play DJ for them just playing MP3s. I did take the time to look through (hey, it's almost 9am my time and I've been up all night enjoying) and I didn't notice and Foreigner. Check out ( if you have the time) Foreigner - Feels Like The First Time

Fun fact... the guitar player, Brian May, went back to college after that pesky "rock star" thing happened, and is now Dr Brian May, Astrophysicist. He still rocks out, but he's always been an intellectual too.

One of the very few songs where Brian swaps his Red Special for a Telecaster.

If you watch Live Aid closely you’ll see he uses an acoustic first then the telecaster then back to the Red Special.

@@jerrievans6919 I know he uses an acoustic occasionally-Love of My Life for instance; an Ovation Balladeer 12 string to be exact.
