Excellent confirmation. I just got a 800mm and a 40mm rise 9degree back sweep and 4degree upsweep. I am looking to get rid of lower back soreness as well. I have been increasing my ride distance quite a bit in the past month and now I have soreness in my back. Likely doesn’t help to increase saddle time so rapidly. Stretching routine increased and now the riser bar. Hopefully makes a difference.
I got the Spank Vibracore 50mm rise bars, replacing Fasst Flexx MX type bars on my Trek Rail, sz L. I'm 6' tall and the other bars I've had on the bike just didn't give me quite the position I've been looking for; the Spank bar feels like I'm in the exact sitting position I'm supposed to be in for optimum performance. I'm an "old man" (73) anyway, so the hi-rise look doesn't phase me.
I'm really tall, 6'8", and have been running these bars for 1 and a half years. I love them. Some guys kinda joke about them, but they're all short and don't understand why it's necessary for me to run a bar with so much rise.
6ft went from a 2016 XC 120mm with steep steerer and seat angle to a very slack 2024 emtb with 25 rise after 1 ride my lower back is hurting pretty bad I tought maybe I'll try 40 but now I'm thinking more like 60-70 thanks for the videos and the idea of recording yourself sideview very good idea I can compare my muscular bike to the new one and see what's wrong like that
Hey Thank You for watching and supporting! I eventually decided on som 50mm risers after trying 40-60, 50mm risers, 780mm wide is what I run on both my bikes now.
I just ordered the brand 50/50 with a 50mm rise bars be here in a few days my stock bars that came on my polygon xtrada 7 hardtail barely have any rise
@SimplePleasuresMTB yeah I got my 50mm rise bars on Friday and I absolutely love them so much easier to bunny hop and ride wheelies and the steering is much more tight as well as the ride is more comfortable way more comfortable I'm glad I went with the 50mm and not the 35 in them
I don't think its just the rise its the 10 degree backsweep. Def You should be riding 800-780mm range bar lengh. Combination of a stem with rise and bar with rise can help you find a better handling feel. But I appreciate your interesting perspective.
@@SimplePleasuresMTB thanks for the reply. What handlebar is that? I don’t think I’ve come across a 50. The difficulty in having is finding one (at a sub-$100 price) with 30-40 rise and at least 12° sweep. Rise and sweep combo seems fairly rare.
I like the burgtec 50s the renthals destroy your back, the 50s are just perfect for me at 6ft look great think thats the limit

It helped my situation.

73 and still getting after it!!! That’s awesome. Thanks for commenting. That’s inspiring 🤙🏻

Yeah they definitely help me. Thanks for the comment.

The spanks look badass.
They sell a 75mm and I got one, awesome bars.

You’ll be stoked!
@SimplePleasuresMTB thanks they'll be here Saturday it's cold but gonna do some riding with warm gear I just got too

Diety has 35mm 80×800 bars. I can slam the stem and be at same height as with long ugly steer tube
I see a lot of taller ppl have this problem but im 5"6 and need these exact bars for my roscoe 9 lol
It's helps when you have narrow shoulders and shorter arms 💪😎🙏
Those bars look great on the RS.
Thanks. I guess they’re fitting…big bike, big bars😎
They make 90mm f9r mtb and 130mm for bmx thats what ice seen i just ordered 50mm rise bars
Would these help with wrist pain? Im seriously considering the 60's to get less weight off my hands.
They might, it is a very comfortable position. I’ve said it before but it feels like you’re “in the bike” vs on top of the bike.
Wrist pain can mean too low of a cockpit yes.
NS district bars have an 87 mm rise but they're more of a dj/ street MTB bar and use a BMX 22.2 mm stem

Thank you. I’m currently running the same Bars but I’m 40mm rise, I bent the 60’s in a crash so thought I’d try something else 😎
How did you find the 40mm compared to the 60?
I’m trying to decide between the two.
@@dman081I currently run 50mm on both my bikes and have found that to be the perfect setup for me. 60mm was just a little too much for me.

Shouldve done the back profile while on pedals, but yeah lol. same idea.
It’s much more comfortable on my lower back with the risers.
Actually for me the bike looks good looks like a chopper kind of a bike
Thank you, it does the job and the look is growing on me.
