"That was the year I got left at the alter. The year I got fired. The year I got beat up by a goat; a girl goat at that. And damn it if it wasn't the best year of my life." -Ted Mosby.
Damian Calderon This ending, matched perfectly with this song, gave me goosebumps. ❤️ I’ll never forget how much happiness HIMYM has given me while watching.
Somehow my 2020 feels the same, so I can relate to Mr.Ted Mosby, but I am sure there is something down the road waiting in 2021, I just need to grab the right umbrella
"That was the year I got left at the alter. The year i got beat up by a crazy bartender*. The year I got fired. The year I got beat up by a goat; a girl goat at that. And damn it if it wasn't the best year of my life."
I love that part when they all jump over the edge, especially Barney's. I'm not the biggest BarneyxRobin fan, but when Robin jumped, he seemed to have a stroke, he almost fell from tension, and after she landed safely, he directly ran after her, and seeing her made him spring directly without hesitation. Easily one of the best moments of Season 4
One of the best songs from HIMYM. Probably of any series. Left such a good feeling in me and a great way to end a bad season/year. This song just helped the feel good of it all. Whoever was behind selecting soundtracks for HIMYM should have won Emmy’s for it. Amazing! And I’m not someone who pays much attention to soundtracks and could careless for random songs I hear that I’m unfamiliar with. This was different though. These songs made the scenes and took it to heights unachievable without a good soundtrack. Fantastic choices!
Why isn’t this on Spotify!! I’ve been obsessed with the HIMYM music for years, and on a rewatch realised this isn’t on any of my playlists - and this is one of the most important songs from the series!
I'm watching HIMYM again. I ended the episode few mins ago and I'm here. It's 25th Dec today. Merry Christmas to all. Almost the New Year. Watching the episode and the season ending with a year ending in hope in the show is a great way to end my year as well. Waiting and jealous for all the people who'll watch himym for the first time. And obviously waiting for the new generation. 😊
I watched this show before we had our three kids. Now I’m showing it to my oldest who turns 13 on Saturday. He loves it and is smart enough to recognize the problematic behavior they all have.
The music from HIMYM makes up ,without a doubt, the greatest soundtrack of any TV show or movie. I didn't think Almost Famous' soundtrack would ever be outdone yet here we are - and it's not even close! Not just due to the quality of the music, but also how perfectly each song captures the spirit and emotion of each scene which takes the emotional response to the next level. Tip of the hat to whoever approved and made sure they got the rights to play these amazing songs.
Here to listen to this as just right now I saw the last episode of season 4 of Himym on 1st jan 2023 and boy what a bad year I had in the form of 2022 but hearing ted’s words along with this music gave me hope which I desperately needed like maybe this will also lead to better
I first watched this episode in the worst ever year of my life, a few days after my parents split completely unexpectedly and it seemed like everything was destroyed. But watching that episode gave me hope that I would be in a better place eventually. I listen to this song every year on the anniversary of this horrific day. Today is 7 years on and I’ve never felt better 😊
I remember watching the end of season 4 in a CD reproducer with my brother while we were in the car on a trip, this is just a legendary moment for us 🤍
This is one of the best season finales in all of TV. The leadup to the finale (the last three episodes in season 4) is fantastic! And then to end with this song, Ted's lines and the cut to Professor Mosby gave me goosebumps and that feeling that however life may seem, someday it will all connect and we may realize we were always heading towards where we needed to be. Himym at its peak!
I was a silent partner I found Myself with the rabble that stood on a mound Hip shot thinking but not out loud There are too many prophets here On the upper side of the sound of the dark I took it in silence I took it to heart I carried it quietly over the wall There were too many prophets there I was behind it One by one by one by one One by one by one by one Stand by zero Stacked on zero One by one by one by one One by one by one by one I was a silent partner for once And I was split into two sections Here is my heart and here is my song There are too many prophets here I am divided One by one by one by one One by one by one by one Stand on zero Stacked on zero I was the silent partner I know The part of the forest where you shouldn't go Now out of the woods and out in the day I see there's too many prophets here One by one by one by one Stand on zero One by one by one by one Stacked on zero One by one by one by one Stand on zero One by one by one by one Stacked on zero One by one by one by one
i love the show because its probably something that will never happen to me and i never had anything like that, friends, relationship, love its just the start of my life but i already feel like losing. love this song my only favorite song after another love.
How I met your mother has introduced me to awesome music

God that sounds awesome out of context

the ending of season 4 gave me hope. it was amazing. and this song is something else. everything together is a masterpiece.
When they jumped the roof... Excellent.
One of the best, if not the absolute best moment of the whole show
Im 83% certain it's the end of season 3 not 4

"How I Met Your Mother" brought me here.
What an ending of Season 4!!! Love it😍
I was a silent partner I found
Myself with the rabble that stood on a mound
Hip shot thinking but not out loud
There are too many prophets here
On the upper side of the sound of the dark
I took it in silence I took it to heart
I carried it quietly over the wall
There were too many prophets there
I was behind it
One by one by one by one
One by one by one by one
Stand by zero
Stacked on zero
One by one by one by one
One by one by one by one
I was a silent partner for once
And I was split into two sections
Here is my heart and here is my song
There are too many prophets here
I am divided
One by one by one by one
One by one by one by one
Stand on zero
Stacked on zero
I was the silent partner I know
The part of the forest where you shouldn't go
Now out of the woods and out in the day
I see there's too many prophets here
One by one by one by one
Stand on zero
One by one by one by one
Stacked on zero
One by one by one by one
Stand on zero
One by one by one by one
Stacked on zero
One by one by one by one
