Today we are talking hiring the A-Team, the 6 inch Galoob A-Team to be precise.
Looking at the principle A-Team characters, their variations, 'that' Amy Allen figure, the Bad Guys and the vehicles and Command Center Play set.

RTG, Congrats on the fantastic A-Team collection and thank you for another great infotaining video. I learned quite a bit about this line, of which I personally didn't have any as a kid but my slightly older cousins did. Man, that Amy Allen figure is tragic. You're right, Melinda should have sued Galoob for that hideous Triple 'F' fail... I just had a quick look through the '86 and '87 Sears Wishbooks (Oh how I love those 80's tomes...) to see if they carried any A-Team figures but alas, no luck.. On page 170 of the 1984 Wishbook they have some A-Team goods, including a camp site play set and the 12.5" BA goes for... $12.99! :)
@@Uncle_GenX 12.99! Well I guess, once you count for inflation, that’s probably about the equivalent of $30 now. I had that campsite you mention as a kid, got it as a birthday present from my grandparents. Sadly lost most of the bits and finally sold what was leaf back in 2010. 🤷♂️

Fantastic A team you got there amigo !! Yea, the faces are off , but for the time frame , it worked for a toy . The Hannibal face was a bit close to looking like the actor some what . Now a days , we want things to be on point and accurate lol . Never had these as a kid . The only one I had was the 3 3/4 in ones which I still have . Been trying to hunt down a BA figure . Yep , Mr T was very iconic individual in the 80’s . Fantastic sharing amigo !! Keep up the great work !!
It sure is a goofy set of figures, but as you say, they are essential for any 80s collection.

The Mr T figure got me back into collecting action figures a few years ago. I got a beaten up one and kitted him out with his accessories. The thing that took me back to being a kid was the awkward way he holds the rifle at an angle. This really used to bother me! No 80s collection would be complete without him, though, you are correct about that. Oddly, I think the Big Yellow Teapot is another essential ingredient in any 1980s toy collection, although I don't have one.
Would've been great to have had the van in this scale. A real missed opportunity for Galoob.
Of the head sculpts, I think B A and Hanibal have the best. The other two look a bit like that guy who rode a motorcycle into a vat of chemical waste in Robocop. I don't know what happened to Amy. I feel very sorry for Amy.

That’s an interesting observation about 80’s toys never being able to hold their weapons correctly, I remember the Joes would always be pointing guns in random directions 😂

What can I say,I have those 4 figures now,as a child I was given BA on my 10 birthday mint n boxed,I have some bits you need,I need some bits too,Amy yeh I need her,and her fugly head,I do have her video recorder though,Fantastic video.

As Dave has said there is a third variant of Hannibal, and he mentioned the white and Red BA variant, however I don’t class that as a variant for the A Team line as it was released on a “wrestling cardback”
But BA does have a subtle variant in the line, he has a slightly darker blue vest with yellow socks instead of orange.
If I come across any cheap accessories l’ll let you know 👍
Thanks Luke, Yeah Dave sent me a photo of the white and red B.A and all I can say is that, yeah, I want one 🤣, mate, it has gold shoes!
I guess it being a 'wrestling' figure is why it didn't come up when I searched for A-Team variants, though I did know of the yellow sock variant, but it's such a subtle difference I didn't put it in the video.
Mate, really appreciate you keeping an eye out for those bits I need, I would really like to complete my Murdock figure.

I really like this line even though it has its issues. The knee construction was horrible and the w*nking claws were often useless. Later versions had better hand sculpts though. My BA could hold the bolt cutters for example.
There are two variants of the Hannibal head sculpt. The one you have is the best one. There is another that is very weird looking and I think has his hair parted a different way. I have both versions.
Also, there was a Euro variant of BA with a white jacket and red trousers. Looks crap though. The common version is way better in blue with orange accents.
That Amy Allen head sculpt is deeply concerning.
I only have the four main guys and I'm not concerned with getting the "bad guys". A colonel Decker figure would've been good to have though.
Interesting fact about the Ruger machine guns being used on the show.

Interesting facts there about the Hannibal head variation, I know they did one with white hair and one with grey but was not aware of there being a different face sculpt. The one I have now is the same as the one I had as a kid, which to me is most important.
Also I’d never heard of the BA variation, if I ever find one I will probably get it 😁

I really don't know why there are two face sculpts for him. It's very peculiar.
