I wish they would fix the gillie gloves clipping through the map. Sinomacrops are top tier dinos I cant play without them
Wild Card is a garbage dev team, there is a never ending list of launch day bugs they still havent fixed.

Hi Phlinger Here's a tip for you: to walk your babies while on the Maewing, put them on follow while still in the Maewing baskets then fly the Maewing around.
Yes def, u can also put them on follow and whip them all the way for a walk too 👌🏻

Phlinger, there are griffins on this map and the wyvern eggs are super easy to steal, just get a owl and some coffee and you'll be gooood
Don’t forget to put an oviraptor on follow for the easiest egg stealing you have ever done, no agro
Sinos are so cool, cute, and useful! Those and otters are my fave when it comes to shoulder pets!

@@trevorholm6470 So true! I went back to the island on my new server and I'm seriously missing my Sino I name Cinnabon. lol
I was hopping between the map's looking for event color dino's over the weekend. I had a lot of luck on Crystal Isles. IMO the Griffin's look amazing in the winter color's. I really hope that Wildcard allows us to breed our Griffin's in the future.
every map, my first girl Ptera is named Sally. The current Sally has 50k hp and 8k damage. she eats alpha raptors for breakfast. Love this game
That little guy looks AMAZING! Imagine getting some green on there! Also! Dunno if you know this or not, but the C attack on the maewing picks up all babies in range! Pretty cool!
I just started raising sinos on official. Cute lil buggers. Well loved by all on the map. Hopefully soon I'll have so many I can just give them away. Going to breed so many it lags when you go by my base. LOL
Good Morning Phlinger! I hope you had a great NewYears.
Not sure if anyone has noticed this or said anything but the reason everyone keeps diving to the ground with sinos is because they are running first. The fix is simple, run then fly for speed and switch from run to walk while flying before doing the glide (right shift or right stick). I've found this fixes almost all of my accidental face plants back to earth. So basically the type of glide is based on how you are moving. Walk = steady glide, run = dive bomb. I hope this helped someone
A group of Sinos with good mele like that are ferocious little things lol They can kick some serious butt.
Just a tip, with a sinomacrops and ANY flyer, you can stay in the air indefinitely without boosting stamina. You take your flier, i like to just fly to the "roof" when you hit the barrier and head in the direction i am going. When your flyer is low on stam, you jump off, hit j so they follow and start coasting with your sino. Once your sino is low on stam, you slow down, climb back on your flyer who had their stam regen while it was following, and you can keep going. Never have to touch ground again until you see the perfect candy!

Phlinger Love your videos man!!! 2 Things: 1. I forgot whos video it was but they showed how you can use a cage to trap the sino and tame it. It was cool becasue you can pick up the cages and use them more than once. 2. Sinos seem to be ok with you flying towards them in short burst with a sino on your back. Not glide mode, but flight mode(Flapping wings mode or whatever you call it).
I have used standing torches to tame them, saw it on someone else's vid, it's pretty easy
@@carolegray3456 yeah I tried that too. Both are valid methods. It’s probably just me, but I had trouble with spacing the torches so the Sino could land.
@@dadpants33 you don't place them down until it has landed, have the torches on your hot bar too
Take off your ghille when you're taming a sino. The ghille causes them to not be able to sense your presence when time to land and feed unless you are close. Without ghille as long as you stay within 100m they will come right to you very quickly.
hey phlinger, i know a taming pen that will work on the sinomacrops, that won't scare it away. 7 standing torches and 1 wooden sign. when a sinomacrops comes too you, surround it with the torches without moving, and place a sign and the board of the sign have to be over the hit box of the sino. once then you can tame and it won't get away and it will still allow the taming process

He Phlinger, its a lot easier to trap them. Just make 6 standing torches and a wooden sign. As soon as it wants to be fed don't give foot or move, let it come all the way to you. Then place the torches around him, then the sign and rotate till it is above its head. Than just rotate camera until you see the feeding message and give it. Don't move away just wait till it wants to be fed. Its that easy

How do u set it to automatically go to 3rd person view when flying/gliding?
from my observation, you can’t be running, flying, or standing when taming sinos or they freak out :(
The desert lakes right to the right of the high desert and the river that runs from it to the ocean has tons of silica pearls in it
If you hold shift, you can dive and pick up speed.
if you press F around things you dont want to pick up. It goes to whatever you facing. so you can press F rather than E which will pick stuff up, I.E eggs.
You don’t have to get off the Maewing when you’re moving it and every time you wanna put a baby in there. There’s a hot key for it.
It makes me sad to see how smooth your game is while flying around, my ark game on xbox lags and crashes if I fly on anything faster than an argentavis. Ark is basically worthless on console but I can't afford a computer 😢
This right here. Also play on Xbox and at this second my PVE server is on a crashing loop.

Where can I find a flock of wild Sinomacrops? They're so fast I barely see them when I'm actively lookimg for one.

So you can tame new Sinomacrops with a tamed one on your shoulder? They don't get freaked out by your current tame? Also, does your tamed one not scream at wild ones?

I got spoiled using my SINOMACROPS , the other day I built a base on the edge of a very steep cliff then stopped playing while I eat dinner, signed back in, and jumped off the cliff to glide to my other base and as I was falling to my death I realized I had forgotten to to pick her up lol

Maewing is rough on official servers because of the lag. I was hoping that was fixed by now.

You got it all wrong. You´re not taming the Sinomacropsis, they are taming you. That´s how I felt and mine even look like a candy, all white with bit of grey and red pink wings. And guess what I managed to steal fire wivern 170 lvl egg and he has your colors.

Sinomacrops are OP as well. A little balancing would go a long way.
They are not that OP. Can’t carry artifacts.
They are awesome but useless for artifact runs. Otter is still king of shoulder pets.
Why useless? Can the otter fly over lava on Ragnarok? :P also otters hold artifacts? How does that work?
@@benwil6048 yes otters have had the ability to hold artifacts. The only Dino in the whole game that can hold as many as it can carry. Sinos are good for caves. But not having the ability to hold artifacts makes them not as useful. Grappling hooks otter and wing suit all day.

IMO Maewings glide way too far.
I think they are perfect literally a travel mount is all they are.
