The next few years are going to be EXTREMELY exciting for the PS5 & XSX. We're reaching a point now where INDIE GAMES can look better than the highest-budget AAA titles from last generation. This is something that wasn't really an option before game engines like Unity and Unreal4.
One of the best looking games I've ever seen. I just got done with death's door on PS5 and it angered me because it had no map. This game has a map and it's a lifesaver. There's some aggravating parts but it's a metroidvania game so that's a given but I'm going to keep an eye on this company because this is a gem that I should have bought when it came out.
Thanks for the great review! Been looking forward to this game for a while now. Despite some issues, I still think I'd enjoy it. Hope this game sells well, I love to see indie studios thrive.

Closer to an 8.5-9 for me. I felt it was better than Ender lilies and Grime, although latter is quite different. Feel a little nervous that Metroid Dread might not hold up too well compared to this... Phenomenal game, precise and responsive controls. Movement is fast and fluid, attacks feel weighty and satisfying. Upgrades are meaningful and weapons are balanced. Decent amount of boss fights and good pacing and game length. Platforming and combat just the right difficulty. Some of these things are quite subtle but it gets it pretty much all right. Treat yourself to this game if you're a fan of Hollow Knight, Ori, Guacamelee, Super Metroid etc. You won't regret it
Similar view to you but I liked Grime a fair bit more. Combos are cool but not quite my thing. Beat the game this afternoon after having it installed for months Both great games thoughk

The game will always save the button presses in queue instead of what you're pressing at a certain frame animation. For example, there's a combo for light light heavy heavy, but if you pressed light 3 times but pressed heavy at the correct frame for the combo, you'll get another combo instead. Essentially, you could just press the combo sequence, then go "jesus take the wheel" on the controller and just watch the combo happen for the next 1 - 2 seconds. That's pretty bad if you want to do a dash mid combo to cancel out of it. The game doesn't allow you to do that, so you just get hit. Once you understand this button queue system, things start getting better, but it can still be a little frustrating.

Does this have a physical copy ?
Nothing for USA and Europe yet. Suppously they're continue having conversations with retailers to bring it here. I hope it's no more than digital $30 to buy it on release day
@@TamizPerdiz okay, digital is currently listing at $40 in U.S.
@@TheActs2021 what are you talking about? Game price on psn store is 30 bucks.
@@TamizPerdiz I'm sorry! You're right! When I wrote that I was thinking of Kena Bridge of Spirits... also digital only I think
@@TheActs2021 Kena has no plans at this moment to release physical copy. Digital version $40
no game ever give me megaman x feelings in past decade more than this,
but it's better in every aspect.
Im enjoying it. Great game at least an 8. Bunny Rabit is Solid Snakes Voice isn't he? lol
Now it's free on epic
Free on epic for 24h
Got this game free from epic... it is super gooood. Better then some of the games released on sf5
if The PS5 Version Doesn't Lag Atall, That'd Be Great!
The Combat Actually Does Pick Up Once You Have All Upgrades.
Rayton Basically Becomes Dante From Devil May Cry, i Even Discovered An infinite.
They Now Have Slum Fighter, But My Overall Problem is The Lag.
i've Played This On PS4 Pro(Boost Enabled) & PC(Origin Gaming)
& it Still Has The Same Lag issues Which Seem To Be ignored.
At 1st it Feels Like it's A Knowledge Thing, But Once You Become Stable,
Then You Start Noticing it More & More.
Furries are gonna love this
Ps4 version needs improvement, there are a lot of moments when fps drops even on ps4 pro.
The Lag Gets Really Bad When Trying To Parry & Strenuous Movements,
Which Becomes Frustrating, Just Wait Till Ultra Cicero,STO007 & Master Wu.
PS4 Pro Exactly, But Even On PC This Still Happens.😞👍#2
8.5 out of 10 the combat style is solid the art styles really nice on the eyes and there's a lot of little tidbits you can feel the soul in the game if you know what I'm saying.
This is a 8.5 for me, having a lot of fun
Is it worth the 30$ its asking right now?
No
Just started playing it! FREE on Gamepass! SO GOOD!
Awesome fun little game, Jazz Jackrabbit on steroids
What an inconsistent review. This game isn’t some AAA 60$ game, why aren’t you considering that? This game is the sh*t, what are you comparing it to? You guys do awesome work, I’m baffled by the negative tone of the review. And yes, seven is harsh for this. It’s an 8 maybe even a 9 if you enjoy the genre.
Yeah im lovin it, just finished a 5 hour straight playthrough...the combat has so much depth
Nice Play 😎👍👌😊
Trying to finish the game but i play on the hardest setting 🤷
Thanks xbox gamepass ❤
It's like a mix of MegaMan and Strider
That's What i Like About it, i Had Just Finished Strider HD
& Was Looking For Something Else To Play, This Popped On in PSN & PC Right On Time.😁👍#1
i Just Didn't Expect So Much Offline Lag.
What a great free Epic game for christmas ! Merry Christmas fam !
Great Game I'm thinking this is either a sequel or prequel To the Side Scroller Shooter "SINE MORA EX". the art style & character designs & stages , story are somehow connected u got humanoid animals in awesome ships fighting SteamPunk Mecha either it's connected & inspiration or the same ppl who worked on that game expanded on it with this game the end result is a Game that does justice to the MetroidVania Genre while refreshing story & great visuals and spot on control mechanics right now Metroid Dread has the spotlight nevertheless this is a well made hidden gem , can't wait to see what this company has in the works for its next game .....
similar style but they are unrelated.
Nowadays it's looking like PC is the place to play. When the consoles get exclusives the PC seems to get them too from both sides.
PC and ps5 would be the best option, as the best ps5 games will come much (much) later to the pc. So yeah, the ones with money have the most fun
It sure looked interesting but looks like it is mediocre☹️
Looks like no reply value. I’m in the fence for this, lost in random and kena bridge of spirits
This game looks like it will have insane replay value since it has character action based combat system, in the hands of a skilled player you'll see a massive difference in skill expression
I'm obsessed with game design and this looks like its going to be one of my faviroute games of the year just due to the amount of depth in its combat and the game feel.
@@Jabroni_14 that’s kind of why I’m on the fence. But for price I think I’m pre ordering it later today along with kena bridge of spirits and sifu and lost in random. These games look more fun then saints row and far cry.
@@michaelschneider1365 I totally agree, deep mechanics and challenging encounter or level design are my two highest priorities for single player games so when i saw a game that has weapon switches, hurtbox manipulation, combo strings with varying utility I knew that it would be one my favourite games of the year. I wish people enjoyed games with deep mechanics and actual good encounter design
I love when games have male rabbit characters, great job to these guys! Great game!
i would love a switch port!
got this free on epic games for pc, its in my back log, time to get it done..
It’s free now
wish it had been given a physical, same with Kena.
Wait... Kena won't have s physical copy ?!? Say it ain't so !
@@TheActs2021 it will not. Not at launch anyway say devs. i guess if sales are good they will eventually. Similar to how The Medium was for xbox and then now ps5.
I did get FIST from PlayAsia and i may import Ninja Gaiden trilogy as well. Seems KT doesnt do many physical right now. Maybe pandemic woes still slowing manufacturing or something?
@@InfectedElite okay thanks. I do want to get FIST too... that game looks right up my alley
@@TheActs2021 Well digital here in Canada was 39.99. On Play Asia it was physical english, for 44.99, plus maybe 10 to ship. So 40+ tax on psn for digital, vs. $55 i paid to import a physical ps5 copy. It's worth import if you collect
Only $30? ….It’s metroidvania madnesses! 7/10
a few dollars cheaper if you have ps plus
So does look like it worth the price
