AI music is getting good enough to rival the quality of human-made music. We're getting some good stuff out of it, but it's also kind of sad that thousands of hours of human effort to become skilled at their craft is losing some relevance and economic value. There are some serious growing pains involved in adjusting to a new normal. As AI improves and work becomes increasingly automated, please understand that our economic model (Capitalism) is not designed to last forever, and this must change as well. I'm a big fan of Passion Sands [no.11], as I'm a sucker for timeless music, like Long Long Time by Linda Ronstadt, Che Vuole Questa Musica Stasera by Peppino Gagliardi, Mary's Theme by Stelvio Cipriani, truthfully I'm not exacty sure of the genre/age of those songs but It's super cool to see older and more classical sounds and instruments mixed with modern feelings and vibes like chill hiphop lofi etc
Nooo, it's AI? So disappointing. Please support real human musicians whose work was stolen to build generative AI. Without the music of hundreds of human artists, this would not exist. It is being used without their permission, and without compensation. Human musicians struggle to survive enough already, and this plagiarism just makes it harder for them to get financial support for their art. I would give ethical AI a chance, (art/music purchased from consenting artists/musicians who get some sort of cut every time their work is used as a piece of AI sound collages). But currently there is no ethical AI that runs without robbing thousands of people who put their blood, sweat, & tears into honing their craft. I'm not just talking about some people complaining that someone 'stole' their idea, I'm talking about the mass theft of Intellectual Property. This is a HUGE legal issue, but artists rarely have the means to take these huge AI companies to court! So they are unable to get legal compensation from the AI companies who stole their IP, and these huge companies rarely face consequences for their mass theft of Intellectual Property. To support AI is to support the unethical, illegal use of art & music for the profit of absurdly wealthy un-convicted felons who are already getting around the law by targeting vulnerable creators who can't fight back, and throwing their massive amounts of unethically obtained wealth around. But we, the people AI is being peddled to, can't SEE these struggling creators in front of us, so we ignore the harmful and illegal consequences of using these programs and furthering their wealth and power.
If you enjoyed it, it doesn't have to be bad! :), we clearly put an effort into making coherent music and not as generic as music made with AI usually is. In addition, we also remixed and mastered it so the result is widely different! On the other hand, we plan to upload music made entirely by us in the future and sponsor some projects too! :)
