I’m 82 and Creep was way past my generation. Heard this song for the first time two months ago by Chloe Alexander and her parrot. The melody caught me off guard and I played it over and over. Then I realized the story it told and I was “into it” even more. This giant group gave me chills. Could someone with musical knowledge tell me what it is about this song that so many artists and groups have recorded it and why I do’t tire of hearing it.
I'm a drummer Helen im only 15 and probably seen about as much life as you no one really knows the true story of creep or why it resonates with us but It dose and no one can get enough of it
Look at the faces, no hatred, no prejudice, just a desire to sing.the world could be so simple.more singing less politics and it would be a better place.
I recently Found Pub Choir...It has Restored my Faith in Humanity...The Pure Joy and Love Shining from these People...I cant stop crying...Its AMAZING Thank You
your concerts just remind us there's a singer inside each of us just waiting to bust out......thank you ! " you're so f***in' special" to use a theramin in this arrangement
This is my favorite Pub Choir song. What a talented conductor you are and these singers are really quite good too!! Thanks so much for all the effort you guys put in to share this with the rest of us.💜
This is an amazing example of music connecting people. The diversity of people in the crowd, yet they all compose such a beautiful sound and harmony together, its such a beautiful sight and sound. I rarely get chills from music, but this is absolutely phenomenal.
What a beauty if only one day the whole humanhood begin to think about how the unity makes the force @ everything as it does in music! Astrid, a big, big hand....keep it up! We all belong here ...for now!
Not only is this the best thing ever!!! The Director knows just where to put everyone. Most "Directors put the base with the base in a section, and treble with the treble in one place. This Director does what's right a cluster of each sound town all threw out...... Makes I more pleasing event for everyone. This is how matching bands should do...
It just proves that no matter how old, what ethnicity, shape or size, we all know the feeling being wrong, unworthy and imperfect. And at the same time it proves, that if so many people feel like that, it's obvious that we are not. We are just right the way we are! Everyone is special and everyone is an essencial part of this world!
There are so many covers of this gorgeous and sad ballad (Sorry for redundancy). It's a very mixed bag and many can be found on TH-cam, of course. Some covers use 'fucking'; some switch that to 'very'... they're all worth checking out, but the real power is in that 'fucking' word!!! Look for Radiohead's 1994 live performance; it's grainy, but so so amazing. Yorke's sustained 'run' near the end is, of course, wonderfully Chilling. You'll cry. Yes, TYorke hates it, not so much for the song itself, but because people locked onto it and seemed to disregard the band's full catalog. This song is also used in the film 'Social Network.' Just some trivia for you all... cheers!
Thom Yorke is a genius. This music lyrically taps directly into the jugular of what is to be a human full of doubt in a seemingly impossibly complicated existence.
headphones on, volume up...start bingeing to this brilliance, the joy it brings to us listeners and the performers is priceless. A must needed escape from the insanity know as Donald Dumpster
Well. I’ve heard this song sung in many different ways by many different artists. It always gives me goosebumps. This rendition is no different. Well done choir, and we’ll done Radiohead. Beautiful.
Throughout the video I kept thinking if there was to be one video that would outlive all humans, I would want this one to survive because it captures the human experience really well.
Just got done watching almost all your videos after discovering this channel. First I love it and hope to be part of it someday as you grow. But this performance to me personally is my favorite. Just fantastic.

@@Kamolee8 Bless your heart 💕
@@your_fellow_irishmen I just read that the composition was similar to The Hollies “The Air That I Breathe” which is also lovely.
What makes me happy - validating my belief that a group of humans can create magic when they work together.
Could be the answer to bringing us all together in such a divided world. If only it could be that easy...maybe it is that easy!
I think the song means so much to so many people because we all know what it’s like to feel unworthy.
Yes, you are quite right, we can all identify at different levels.
Did you really have to pierce my heart like that with your beautiful and insightful comment?
The choir is composed of average regular faces you see every day. Nobody stands out, nobody's special. Just perfect!
everyone is special :)

Perfect for the manic mind . Do you remember the people from The Rocky Horror Picture Show?
I just have no idea how you managed to organise so many people for such beautiful perfomance! Thank you all!
How they get them to sing their parts is amazing.
@@ronaldbose9645 The organizers offered them bouncy balls . . .

This has been wonderful to experience, if only on TH-cam! Thank you for posting! Love to see and hear so many people participating!!

The first ( and only?) really awesome choire version of creep. Great!
Check out Scala & Kolacny Btothers choir performance of Creep... you'll love it too!
Oops. S & K BROTHERS. It's all female, about 30 singers, all-voice... lilting arrangement.

I've got no idea how I ended up here, but Jesus!
Something "so fucking special" about a large group of people singing this.
Thanks for posting it.
What the hell am I doing here? I just watched all the Pub Choir videos back to back!
I would love to hear you do ‘Songbird’ as a tribute to the late, great Christine McVie. RIP Christine… your beauty and talent will be sorely missed.
Thom Yorke is a genius. This music lyrically taps directly into the jugular of what is to be a human full of doubt in a seemingly impossibly complicated existence.

Just superb. Now, I don't know what pub that is... But as a 45yrold single man, I'd have to call that, a "target rich environment".

An absolute classic and every new take I hear of this over the years brings me great joy!

I'd love to see the boys from Powderfinger again. Come on Astrid I'm sure you can make it happen.
Again the British talent for songwriting shines again. So many can relate to the words

This was easy to orchestrate because at one time or another everyone has felt just like this guy
Just got done watching almost all your videos after discovering this channel. First I love it and hope to be part of it someday as you grow. But this performance to me personally is my favorite. Just fantastic.
