      I think Markus is stronger because he can bench press 399 pounds eight times, while Ronnie on the other hand, can bench 500 five times, so 399×8=3,192 pounds. 500×5=2,500.

    Markus used 60kg dumbbells in that clip, he said that that was his weakest exercise for some reason. You can tell how uncomfortable he is by that strange grip and ankle. And Ronnie definitely won that incline bench, smith machine is never comparable to free weights. Excepting that shoulderpress clip, Markus has to be one of the strongest shoulder pressers ever

  • @MellonVegan
    @MellonVegan 3 ปีที่แล้ว +82

    Very difficult to compare due to the differences in technique (Markus's DB bench was almost a chest flye) and equipment but I think one shouldn't be surprised if Markus's shoulders were stronger, given their ridiculous size. I'd probably give overhead strength to him, assume their inclines are comparable and give every other lift in the world to Ronnie.
    But again, tough to tell bc it looks like Ronnie is doing lifts whereas Markus is doing exercises if you get what I mean.

    • @StrengthUniverse

  • @andrewcarpenter3991
    @andrewcarpenter3991 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Besides the leg press Ronnie is using free weights without the assistance of a smith machine were as Marcus is seemingly dependant on one for most movements. I personally found using free weights you need much more muscle control and work apposing muscle groups than if assisted by a machine. This factor of the use of absolute free weights definitely works your muscles much harder, although it is hard to say who is the stronger if they both trained with the same methods.

    • @ColdSun87
      @ColdSun87 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Doesn't matter, this is not the same for everyone. For example, I can lift much more weight on bench press with a free bar/shoulder press than I can on the smith machine. For me, the smith machine is much harder and I cannot move as much weight.

    • @bartbart6545

      Even if the weight difference is too big.Ronnie would not match Markus there.
