I think it also depends on the machine they use earlier on. Ultrasound machine quality matters!
Not necessarily. It depends on the sonographer skills. You can have the best machine but if you are unskilled, you will not be able to recognize anything

At 04:23 the genital tubercle is directed towards anteriorly on right image indicating male and caudally on left image indicating female. In the video description its dictated vice versa. Have i understood it wrong ?

Hey there! I’ve been reading online that gender can be identified on an ultrasound as early as 12-13 weeks. Has anyone found out their gender that early on ultrasound? Or know of anyone who has?

What does 3 lines mean in a scan ??
Depends as both males and females can image with 3 lines. Ultrasounds image in “lines” especially anything round.

Ultrasounds are not necessary. I don't have any during my pregnancies unless there are other medical symptoms that would warrant one.
For example, placenta previa would present with bleeding during your pregnancy. Had I spotted a lot I would have opted to check the position o my placenta.
Transverse is the only postion that a vaginal birth atempt cannot be made. This position can be felt by a trained practitioner and then confirmed by ultrasound.
So no, routine ultrasounds are not medically necessary.
