  • Today we explore the colonial history and sites of Agra. We visit places like the Roman Catholic Cemetery that houses the red Taj Mahal, Akbar's Church, St. John's College, Munshi Abdul Karim's Tomb, St. George's Cathedral among others. I was so surprised to learn that Agra has so many colonial sites of interest.

This trip was in February 2020 with the Tourism Guild of Agra.

St. John's is not a Catholic College, this college belongs to CNI people.

This can be cited as evidence that Mughal Empire was largely secular in nature

Our architecture is so full of history, of everything that led us to this moment, why are we living in times when all this is being abolised!? Okay, people of all generations and times might have had this thought. But, so good... a mughal tomb as a center piece of Catholic cemetery :')

Agra has a lot to offer, beyond the taj. Been exploring the other side of Agra in the last three visits and I still have things left to see :)
