Absolutely brilliant video there mate, i have found a fishery that have ide and had a few little one's in my new video down here in Suffolk, Thank you very much for the brilliant tip's on how to catch them better, catch you again soon in from the waters edge,
Hi David, The heavier version of the Matrix Catapult creates a much tighter bait spread when feeding light baits such as maggots, If I was feeing larger hard pellets the light catapult would be ideal. Regards, Steve.
holding that fish the way you did to show the camera, i was waiting for it to start jumping about like when you lost that big roach at roach bay on the yare years ago m8
For sure, during the warmer months we catch the IDE on a top kit however, they just refuse to come closer when the water is clear and weather is slightly cooler. Regards, Steve.

I agree ,Ide are the most obliging fish ,looking forward to some busy days on this species they are the best.
Caught a few of these at my local lake, puts up a great fight when you think you just have a large Roach and then it tears off!
Great vid,you mentioned the orange slik, is that the 6 - 8 thanks
great video, do you have problems with cormorants there ?
Thankfully no, they do have a bird scarer just incase. Regards, Steve.

Im glad you enjoyed the video even if you don't target Ide yourself, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Regards Steve.
Here in Finland we catch big ones with little lures.
ery interesting , thanks .
Noticed that Jamie Hughes’s uses the same catapult and on the face of it it’s not intended for pole fishing, what influenced your choice please ?

🙌🔥
instead of fishing 16 metres, does anybody try to encourage the fish to come 4-6 metres ? just asking

Can't catch em on top in our canal far too clever, u throw 20 maggots or casters out plus your hook bait they will eat free bait leave yours
Have you tried smaller hooks and lighter/thinner hook lengths? Make a huge difference when fish are being tricky to catch. 👌
