  • Now this is gonna get some of y'all that say. $300 is not "Budget". Tricky word, Budget. Its all in how much you have to spend. Some people have a BIG budget ,others like me a relatively small budget.
This was done on a $350 Budget.
Built this from super strut that I got from Lowes and Home Depot.
I used 1/2 inch hardware. I think its a little over built but it should do everything I need it to do. This material is very expandable, adjustable and can be made to fit just about any application. It is also expandable with variable ways to mount just about anything you might want to on the roof of your vehicle.
I decided to paint mine but you could leave it natural, which is galvanized.
    Thanks for watching.
At the time of this build the costs were $325.00.
    5- 10ft sticks of strut.
    25- 1" bolts
    box of washers
    25- 1.5" bolts
40- 1/2 inch twist in nuts.
I did use most of the hardware.
uni strut, super strut budget, diy, toyota, sequoia,

I am inspired by this. I have an old 2000 Montero, it will hold my awning, a segment of wooden slats to load stuff while camping, space left to put my Thule box and camping lights. Great job!
