Beautiful project! It will definitely change Miami. This park will bring so many good thing. The fact it's a linear is a great thing. It will concentrate people near the art, the sports facilities, the business nearby, will connect people from different areas of the city, it will bring even tourists. I hope to visit one day.

This project provides additional landscaping for the riches zip codes in the city at the expense of mass transit.

I'm sorry to say it, but I'm beginning to think Americans don't truly understand what makes a city truly engaging and alive. Having beautiful walking parks is not a bad step unless it is the only one. Where is the investment in museums, libraries, reasonably priced restaurants, botanical gardens and reasonably priced galleries with cafes facing the main street? What truly makes a city come alive is organizing the places diverse groups can enjoy simultaneously. This isn't a bad step, but I feel like it's not going to go much beyond this. The truth is that the realstate developments projected to manifest in Miami are exclusively for high middle class and the rich. I'm getting the feeling that to Americans in charge of designing cities, anything less than solid middle class is almost completely irrelevant and unimportant. I say that here because it directly contradicts all that these public projects aim to manifest. Diverse groups need to sit at a table and discuss these things more precisely because if you leave everything to the richest portion of the private sector soon you will see how much they will build only the kind of future they want.

This is such a great idea! I just wish it would be brought to Broward County as well.

The first phase (Brickell) is already complete. The second phase (Vizcaya) is currently under construction and should be completed next year. Phase three is the rest of the park and is supposed to be completed in 2026.

Hope this underpass has the autonomous police robots, cameras, or alert buttons to ensure both police and the public are safe.
