    So Awesome! One of my favorite songs from college choir. I'm jealous that you got to have Dr. Powell direct it for you. Looks like a lot of fun:)

    Why were the soloists singing during the middle portion when the choir is singing the melody? The score has no lines for the soloist there. In fact, the score doesn't even say the soloist should add-lib.

      It's Gospel music. Freedom and improvisation is definetly in the genre. This is fully appropriate! The improv soloist is the director and composer...she's got the right! :)
