What would I change it to?" I feel this means you are perfect just the way you are already. I think these are the struggles Avicii himself faced too. As a perfectionist who always wanted himself to be better, but yet so exhausted that he was emotionally broken and in deep despair. I’m sorry, but to be honest I haven’t been caught up with Avicii. After his his death, I was heartbroken because of the memories I have behind older songs. Suddenly, I began researching, learning about his struggles and him being pushed to his limit. He was so optimistic this past year after his time off. “My goal of 2017 is to make the best album yet!”..finally the other day I hear this song for the first time in the car and just started to cry. “Steady yourself even though you know that you're falling Maybe you're falling but you're still alive Ready yourself, that's quite enough of your bawling 'Cause baby you're bawling but you'll survive” I fucking wish he survived. Been an Avicii fan for years and just stumbled on this song and I can't stop listening to it. It's like everytine you think youve heard all his good songs, another one pops up
or i'll explain it for ya... 1. The first music video starts with our two mysterious astronauts fell to this 'underworld'. Dead probably? or being teleported? but it's most likely dead since in later videos, they fell but they're still alive. Here, there is a bridge that leads them to light, and a flock of ravens started to chase them. the birds could've meant death or something (memories of tragedies? just a flock of birds?) so both ran away from the flock and went into the light. The connection between the song might have to do with their past? but I felt that it means that no one can seperate both astronauts, not even death. And them standing on statues could've mean they're observing their new world? idk??? 2. Chased by the birds, both got drived into a place with a statue on the middle. The light of the entrance and the statue on the middle could've mean as a 'checkpoint'. as they left, the statue crumbles, meaning there will be no turning back. then they both uncover a cave and ended up falling. both then ended up in a mountain valley and they leapt to a hot air balloon, maybe hoping for freedom. not long after, they entered a storm. a bird strikes the hot air balloon with the heart sign on it, causing the balloon fell with the astronaut in it. could've mean every story doesn't have a good ending (traverse through dark places to find light only to lost one) kinda reminds me of coe: day 4 where one must be lost to save others. hmm... 3. We probably thought that one astronaut is 'dead'. nah. after the storm, the surviving astronaut fell into another cave, with a hand statue and a bunch of tornadoes. walk again to find his/her friend who fainted in the middle of the area. togeter, they walk (and fall) together again until the tornadoes are back and seperated them again. something tells me this is about how life sometimes doesn't want things together. 4. One of the astronauts seems to have teleported into their flashbacks? or he/she just discovered these crystal bomb things, maybe to show what's their latest thing they've done before they went to the 'underworld'. Oddly, only this one that has colors, so I believe this as flashbacks. They probably went on a mission before the plan blew off and both got thrown into space. one got struck by a meteor, and one (?) fell to the planet. (or he/she got struck and got send onto the planet, idk) most likely their cause of death before they got sent. 5. After the flashbacks, they finally gathered again. they then tried to cross a rope to get over the water but failed. fell again. but they've tried. they've lost each other, but gathered again as the reward of their 'trying' and finally, they've came to the tree of life, where they can took off their helmets. (happy ending?) that's all I can cover~ feel free to fix my interpretation tho owo/ im just a curious fox ahah

All theese five parts seen together makes up an amazing story. It could all be about love and friendship. It could all be about the beginning of life. It could also be about a travel through lonelyness, despair, hope, a dead god made by stone is there, and also the fingers of God. The travellers ends up with prayers, which is not leading to death - but to life. I am so sad with Tims suicide. At the same time I am impressed on how he expressed himself. He was clearly not the one we thought he was. We are just about to discover him afterwards.
And now, after one more thought, I think the God in the cave can possibly represent resurrection, and also within this story, I find clear references to Jesus ....
