This is the peel session version (1991), based on the track lenght. I like this better than the album's version.
+Nahuel Patiño So do I, but the thing is that this version wouldn't match the mood or style of the album, plus, if they'd used this version, Jimmy Cauty would have sued their asses.
That's what the difference is! I was listening to the album version for the first time in ~10 years and was like 'this is close but not quiiiite it...' But this version tickles my nostalgia perfectly :) Glad to know I'm not crazy!
Listening/trancing out to this in the middle of a forest trailer park in birch bay, Washington state. Sunset. Aurally educating the neighborhood. I grew up in England. Memories of hearing Little Fluffy Clouds one night, listening quietly in my young teenage room. After I'd been told to 'turn that crap off and go to sleep now'. The Orb was NOT turned off. Listened to the end. Then Peel said nothing but segued immediately into a 45 second Napalm Death track. Mum knew, at that point, to never disturb her creation again. "He is who he is now".. I miss John very much.

I remember finding the original pressing of the 12 inch in Spillers in Cardiff long after this had been released, and by that time, I was a big fan of the Orb. I just could not believe that it had not been snatched up. I still think the magic mushroom fairies had kept it hidden away until I arrived that day.

The Orb should be made compulsory world wide & all lesser music should be banned (except The Future Sound Of London & Orbital & oh yeah Aphex Twin & Photek but everything else banned.)

I've often wondered whether that's an actual sample of that track, or if it's just that everyone was using the same 808 effects. (On balance, I think it's a direct sample too.)
