I am one semester away from getting my masters in electrical engineering. Undergrad in electrical engineering associate in electrical. With 5 years of Mechatronics experience in the automotive manufacturing industry. My question is there management positions openings. I don’t mind grinding from the bottom for a year or so, but is there a clear pathway for advancement?
do you need prior experience? I applied today and my test is saturday but have never worked in the field. I know ill need to study but with no knowledge will they be willing to train?
@@Anastasiacooper99 you have to wait until Feb or March if you are already career they will post the flyers out around that time make sure you talk to ppl in maintenance ask questions and try to see if they have study sheets
Say I apply for the ET job and the maintenance mechanic job. Both of those use the 955 test, right? And if so, does failing the test for one job mean I can't retake it for the other? I saw something like that when I applied for the ET job
@@noahcarroll4944 so if you apply for the ET and also apply for mechanic If you pass high enough to qualify for both, they will send you an email for whichever position opens up first but if you don’t score high enough for ET and score high enough for mechanic they’ll send you an email for you to get that position. Did I answer your question.?
@StopWarsColoImperialism Yeah I feel you some times its difficult to maneuver the way you want to which is a bummer but best of luck lmk when you get back
@erocalypse21 Look on google for the most part in everything that is in what’s on the test content if you can screenshot it and study each of those, spatial reasoning is a big factor I’ll do a video on best current books to study and take practice tests make sure you study tools as well
When I worked for usps I did mha, then mail handler regular then, MP7, then ET10 which is electrical technician but imo MP7 is the most easiest but ET10 is the most exciting imo
@@xl_idunno_lx4897 if career already no but you do have to show up because depending on what facility you go to they will be on top of you about attendance.
So I applied for maintenance mechanic MPE, took the 955 exam and scored a 70 for the position I applied for. Got an email saying I was not eligible or suitable for that position. If I apply for another maintenance mechanic job, do I still have to wait 6 months to take the exam again even if it’s for a different position?
@@BoatsKnows yeah for Mpe position you will need to score higher than a 70 so yeah you’re not eligible for Mpe but if you were to go from mechanic you would’ve been eligible you have to wait another six months because if you’re not in the craft of maintenance, then you can’t take the test unless six months so good luck next time you know what to expect. Stay focused study up you’ll be all right.

Once you join the company and show up on time and communicate well throughout your journey it will open up a management position for you quickly
@@alcobvlogs7339can you score into ET11/NST and are there anything higher than this?
