The compressed versions from the DS version are also available in game as a toggle option for those who want it.

Can I just say that I am so so glad that this HD collection exists now. The audio quality of the original game's voice acting was honestly something I found annoying. I know it was on the DS, but I couldn't help but be bothered by it. Now everything just sounds sooooo much more clean and I love it!!! Aile finally sounds like she's talking normally during game dialogue, I can't tell you how much it bothered me to hear her audio quality being so distorted in the original.

It was almost ironic that Aile's Model ZX looked like Zero and used a gun. But Vent also looks like Zero when using ZX Megamerge, so I guess it's just preference.

Its like eating two fish made in the exact same way but being unable to tell which tasted "fresher" because your tongue is terrible at its job. (My fish fanatic uncle can do this. I am not sure if its a common skill or my tongue needs to be fired.) On an unrelated note. I completely ditched Model A for ZX the moment I get it every time i play this game.

Between the cheesy voice acting and fuzzy sounding quality of the original though, it was so bad it was amazing, and I might almost prefer it to the cleaner quality version, possibly due to nostalgia. Still really cool we have the option between the original and the restored audio, also glad we got the cutscenes in not-DS quality.
Also it could just be me but the way emphasis on certain words was placed by the voice actors always felt odd to me but I have to wonder if it was done as a way of trying to make the audio as legible and clear as possible on the DS, in which case it makes sense to overact the lines rather than underperform. This to me almost made the voice acting have a certain theatrical quality to it which I always found amusing.
Technically, I think it has to do with harkening back to the Zero series. Back then, Zero used a pistol-style buster instead of the hand-mounted version from the X series. So, it should be more like a gun to follow its origins, if that makes sense?
It's a throwback to the Buster Shot from the Zero series. It was a simple energy gun that Zero powered with the Saber to charge. Here it actually works like the X Buster, just looks like a gun.

Yeah two biometals just to transform into regular zero, one of the reasons i hate this game, they treat X model like shit, one of the best characters, can use multiple armors, win a war, create a city, destroy omega, yeah we use his biometal along with zero biometal, just to turn into regular zero with a toy gun
It doesn't take two Biometals to change into "Regular Zero". If anything, Model X serves as an adaptor that allows the user (Vent/Aile) to harness the power of the other Biometals. The only instance we see a "Regular Zero" using Model Z only was with Giro(uette).
X in general was getting shafted pretty hard for just about everything after X5 unfortunately. Product of the time I guess with how much Inafune wanted MMZ to be the main continuation.
Zero in Rockman Zero uses the buster mostly for gameplay reasons. Its not deeply tied to his design (he kinda stole it from a resistance jobber when Ciel got to the sealed lab to resurrect him) So it makes sense that in ZX, Model Z is just the Z Saber as demonstrated by Gyro. Model Zx is Model Z + some X sparkled on top

Not gonna lie, when I first started Symphogear, I immediately thought of ZX and ZXA when the transformations were toku-mecha-power armor.
This looks so much clearer now - both in video and audio - than the DS original!

it's actually the other way around. only US had English dub. Europe didn't get the Dub and the cutscenes only had the Japanese voice overs.
That is the first game where they cut the dubs outside of japan.

Grey's VA in ZX Advent is X7 X. Model A is Axle's VA and Albert is Zero.
