The set now versus back like at Ep 103 (Fortune Feimster) is practically night and day The lightings strangely gotten darker and darker, but the eps are still the best.
This has been one of the best episodes. As a native NY’er I’m loving all the local references. Plus the chemistry between the boy la and Jared is so fluid! Great guest. ❤
I went to mcsorley's when I was 16 or 17 with my gf, visiting her brother at nyu. I got served at a bar for the first time in my life and didn't get carded. That place will always have a special place in my heart.
Jared Freid just got a new fan. He’s perfect for this pod! He’s running the room about drinks and bars. He’s making me wish I was drinking with him. Great ep!
Snakebite is a pint of lager and cider mixed. Snakebite and black is the same with blackcurrant. They were both popular amongst bikers in the UK in the 80s/90s. Many pubs would refuse to serve either because of the fighting that'd inevitably come afterwards. And 37 with ripped jeans isn't a good look. Unless you're a hot milf.
The over-extended recs on restaurants/bars was a bit much if you're not an avid traveler. Though, I did enjoy hearing Sam refer to Ruffles chips as "having a built in crunch", you know, like opposed to other chips.
Normand next time your in LA come to black bar in long beach, it's a female owned bar that has all the thrasher skate magazine releases, bad ass skate bar in the LBC on Broadway
I know all about Ear Bar and White Horse Tavern thanks to one of Mark's recs from years ago; tomdnyc on TH-cam. It's called Ear Bar because it's on the historic registry and the city wouldn't let them put up a new sign. Their work-around was to just tweak the B into an E.
This has definitely been his least annoying podcast thus far.... Maybe he's just more relaxed here?? I definitely enjoyed it..He really does need his own bar/restaurant show!!
They're usually a tip off for me to that I wanna avoid that person, but this felt natural. Just like a couple of buddies chatting who forgot a camera was rolling
come to victoria b.c. It's the forgotten borough. On the west coast, in canada. It cost so much money to get off the island and go to Vancouver. Corner the market.
You know what I love most about this pod? that it regularly goes over the one hour limit. A nice long drunken hang.
I agree.
Yeah on tuesdays they literally count down the minutes til it’s over 😅
This podcast has a time limit?
I hate that about TWS. Mostly done by Joe as well@@j-dawg9893

Bro I would absolutely watch Jared's bar recommendation show. He's got the perfect personality to show off different bars and interview drunks
Going to have to check out Lone Wolf because of him now
It would be basically be the modern Insomniac (Insomniac with Jared Freid) 😂
I'm biased towards NYC comics, granted, but they really do end up being the best WMBD guests
Don't know Freid but he's a great fit the show
Agreed, would love to see Mr. "Happy Face" Ryan Hamilton on the show as well. I ❤NY
yeh, LA comics become too hollywood and complacent. stops evolving.

Hadn't heard of Jared Freid. Only 10 minutes in and I'm already checking out 37 & Single. Funny
Same.
He lost me at "It's a ples". Lol
Now cut ya gay tight jeans like his too lol jk 😂 guys not funny but hey I ain’t either
Only thing worse then people cutting there knees out is if ya ain’t gay ya don’t do it okay wtf is wrong with people
Sunday nights are fun again. I've really settled into and look forward to this podcast on Sunday nights over the last year.
I’ve been loving this nonstop Mark Normand podcast streak going on.

The word sober makes me 😫
Honestly an awesome slice of the New York mid 30's bro life. Lived in NYC for a while and this is nostalgic AF.

Yes, it’s a lot darker, but as long as the audio is good, I don’t mind it.

I don't get why they always say "we probably lost them with this" DUDE... the recommendations and inside comedy stuff is why we tune in...
Normand gets so excited for every single bar 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love this pod, I'm even more excited to drink today than I normally am. The bar tour was great.
hahah I remember "Spaghett!" from Tim and Eric
“Should have saved some for treatment” is one of the best off the cuff jokes I’ve heard ever
Yes, I was literally howling for a minute.
Hated the bar recommendations part because I don’t travel or go to bars 😂
This man takes what would be my self-loathing, shameful journal entries and turns them into entertaining comedy. 37 & Single is great! Props

top 10 eps so far! wanna try all these bar and foods recs one day!
Holy smokes, this episode is hitting so close to home. Thank you guys for being human beings! You guys are awesome! Thank you
Big REC on the all dressed ruffle. Best chip ever.
"Now she's fat and crying" lmao Mark ❤
best part, guest comic didn't like that very much, thank god for Normand.
This is one of the few podcasts that I can sit thru even if it’s 2 hours plus.
I legit needed this last night - tried to go out to bars in the city and no one had any good recs….
I hope Mark gets paid for his many podcast appearances especially since he carries the "Rogan Effect" and He's the GOAT of Podcast Funny!
Sam with the shout out for Boston Legal made me happy. Such an underrated show.
The bartender doesn't know anything about vodka. They gave so much wrong info. Belvedere is not from potatoes, it is made from Rye.
Jared Freid just got a new fan. He’s perfect for this pod! He’s running the room about drinks and bars. He’s making me wish I was drinking with him. Great ep!

This is the first episode I shared with my wife and she loved it so many great recommendations thanks guys
Hearing sam struggle to remember the word "state fair" made me laugh out loud
I loved that quick Joe List flash pic on screen. Great Job.
Every time Mark says "that's killer!" I think of Ben Stiller in Along Came Polly: "she's a killer!" 😂
Give this man a travel show!
The tension between mark and Sam has been palatable the last few eps
how so?
@@petehaglund8840a love triangle with List
If you haven't seen the "Spaghett!" sketches from Tim and Eric, I highly recommend watching them.
"Come on Armando, it can't be that easy"
Thanks lads you motivate me to drink every podcast !!
I travel a bunch for work and just added like 100 places to go. We need a travel/drinking/food show hosted by these guys.
We just had Jared at the club this weekend and it was great. This episode is a nice bookend to the weekend.
They take the worst pictures with the guests from only the upper chest up and framed in the lower half of the picture 😂 always cracks me up
I’m from Belfast, flout pizza is absolutely mind boggling-ly good. Crazy how it’s being talking about on this podcast. Shout out flout!
The over-extended recs on restaurants/bars was a bit much if you're not an avid traveler. Though, I did enjoy hearing Sam refer to Ruffles chips as "having a built in crunch", you know, like opposed to other chips.
Gotta fav this vid to come back for the recommendations!
These recommendations will come in handy when I decide to drink my way through the United States of America.
Nice to see Jared fogel in recovery and doing comedy? Great guest!!
Never before heard of this guy but smart & charming, look forward to seeing his stuff.
Wow Jared seems like a really level headed guy which is rare in a comic !
i cant believe you spent 40 mins googling bars
Love starting my Monday morning with you guys. It makes my day off perfect. With we might be drunk and bad friends
No rec for that Brooklyn staple neighborhood bar Horace and Pete's?
Johnny’s Hideaway omg. Thanks for the ATL love!
Tossed salad and scrambled eggs....talk about an innuendo!
Nice memory Master Queef Marcus.

Let go boys ready to drink. No work tomorrow game on! COMEDY 😅😮
Thank you for this information download. I now have a bar to try out in a bunch of cities
Shout out to the editor 🎉
Also. The Locklear callback. Excellent.
Love the rec turning into a peeve when it comes to evaluating a bartender?! 😂
Really liked the recs, especially about the food, most especially Belfast, Ireland pizza place called Flout!!!
LOL🤣MN goes "I haven't had this much Tahine since I uh..." 🕳 Just funny, 'cause he's always delivering. This the paper missed the entire property🗞😛
Always look forward to this one
Normand next time your in LA come to black bar in long beach, it's a female owned bar that has all the thrasher skate magazine releases, bad ass skate bar in the LBC on Broadway
Lucky's has been my spot since 2007. Used to be Sinatra Sundays.
Perfect rec.
I've never missed NYC more
5 minutes in and already liking Jared better here than on Stav's World!
Love Stav...for some reason cant listen to his pod

Great Pod! I love good bar recommendations.
A rec for a bar in L.A.in Downtown The Hotel Figueroa.
Just watched the special. It was great. Im 35 and single.
One of my peeves at 35:18 - condensation making a coaster stick to my glass
I listened to 2 Pods today that talked about Ruffles all dressed! Guess I need to try them. The other was AYG with Che Durena. Shout out to it
Then Mark mentions Che 5 mins later ! Lol
‘Boston Common’ pull? Beautiful.
Looking for comments regarding the tension btwn Normand when the bartender chimes in … The Nola advice was fun.
“You’ve gained a lot of weight” is brutal😂😂
Mark Normand with an animated burp is this a first cause i've never seen that before.
Gentlemen, if you're ever heading west into NJ on 78, and want the best slice of your life, stop by Bedminster Pizza. No need to thank me
cool ep. i liked the bartender making drinks.
Dude that commercial was so relaxing
And then mark went and blew my speaker lol
Best ep in a while just based on the drink-centric talk. Serious respect to the sober folk among us, but the title of the show shined through here
My wife and I love going to Frolic Room after shows at The Fonda for cheap beer and free popcorn.
Always good when the guest also drinks
I about choked on my own spit laughing when mark said "thats what got michael j. Shakin" regarding heather lockliers hotness
This is the best episode of wmbd ever
drinking with the boys
For the love of god dont turn this podcast into a rick glassman type editing.
Lol, I'm with you on that. How to fuck up a decent podcast.
For real. Now is not the time
Excellent comment 🎉
How does he edit?
Top notch pod went long and totally interesting. Home run thanks fellas.
I let pre-ripped jeans slide, and I feel like I grew a ton. "Nope, still funny. Still a good ep. Ignore the jeans"
