Life Hack BMX to prevent flat spray the inside of tire with flex seal the spray that you can use to patch holes in boats and roofs etc. They sell it at Walgreens Also scotch guard on the bottom of shoes outsideof riding gloves and on your tires it keeps water from collecting\sticking Its magical
Ola, if they have it in Norway you should try Lava soap instead of the sand. It contains pumice (which is abrasive) and won't destroy your plumbing like sand eventually will.
So when you accidentally get your foot caught in between the tire and the bar end, it wouldnt hurts as much, or so that your toe cant actually go in. Im surprised there isnt a "bar end" that is actually made to go there. lol
If you keep popping tires because of your spokes... tape black electrical tape over the inside of your spokes than put your rubber protecter back on. Fixxed
Your landlord isn't going to like you washing all that sand down the drain. Kids, don't wash sand down your parents drains at home, it will eventually clog the drain.
This isn't really a bmx hack but I guess it could help maybe. To clean ur chain just get 2 old brushes sticky tape them together then make the chain spin and finally put the chain inbetween the toothbrushes ur chain is now clean.
rocks/dirt in your forks.. take wheel off then empty rocks/dirt out of your forks then put tape in the forks cover up the holes of the downtube of the forks
pipe cleaners work better then the shoelace does. instead of glue on the rim use rubbing alcohol to clean your rim and install soft pads. and dont put anything like pop or that on your rim, some of them have salt in them, salt corrodes aluminium also if your pads are old then remove them and feel the surface if it feels hard and like glazed over sand it down till it feels soft and fresh again. keeps your brake pads lasting longer. instead of removing that spacer and slimming it down you can use a flange from a grip inside the crank arm on one side of your cranks. if you set it up right itll prevent your cranks from spinning but wont make pedaling feel bad. flipping your stem doesnt necessarily make your bars taller, some frontload stems are designed to give you rise, if you flip it itll drop the bars. my personal hacks. for gyro users, derailer inner wires work as inners for dual lower cable set ups and are thinner and thus smoother. regular old school housing is smoother then linear housing so for gyros dont use linear housing. you can use v brake noodles for the bends on your lower cables. for levers if it hits your hand when you pull the lever, you can take a torch and heat the lever up and bend it with the closed end of a wrench, go slow. you can also do this to personal the shape. for dual lower gyro cables you can take a second london mod or dual cable adapter, remove the barrel adjusters and run your brake cable housing through it. then bolt it to the front most cable guide on your frame. use the rear one as normal. nor you have a dual cable guide to keep your cables looking nice and out of the way. this plus the v brake noodle mod keeps the housing running along time, whe the winners break just buy derailer inners, they are thinner and easier to break but because there are two of them the load is split so they work for gyros, just dont mash on the brake really hard. however because they are thinner and smoother it also means you need less spring tension to make your brakes spring back, meaning you can feather the break easier for manuals. meaning you only ever need 2 fingers at most. derailer inners are usually like 2$ or less in north america for basic ones. you can also get fancy teflon coated ones for even smoother brakes. if you notice you get alot of flats, take an old tube cut the valve stem off, split the tube up the belly side where the vale stem is(cut it through if need be to get at the belly easier) now you can wrap it around your entire tube before sticking it inside your tire, prevents lots of flats, can even help with pinch flats. if you run brakes, you can buy aluminium or titanium replacement bolts from bolt makers online. cheaper then bmx companies. you can aslo get shorter ones making it easier and faster to get your lever off. if you are worried about breaking a lever bolt just notch it under the head above the threads deep enough that its a thin spot, if it brakes youll have threads exposed above the lever so you can use pliers to get it out, shorter bolts make it quicker to remove. for those who brake alot of lever bolts. you can also get bolts with hex head keying all the way through so its hollow but if its brakes you can hammer an allen key in and remove it or go through the back of the lever. if you are concerned about weight or can find a 20 inch tube, take a 18inch or 16 inch and partially inflate it, and use that to get rolling. weight weenies do this along with light tires to remove rotational weight. helps with crazy spins. if you run brakes, when you bunny hop you can hold the lever and use pedal pressure to get your back end up really quick and easy. emergency hops. if you have thick dropouts like 8mm thick, you can take a frame guide thats removable for brake cables or a gyro tab and tap your drop out to add integrated chain tensionser. similar to how tree's lil buddy frame's chain tensioners worked. careful not to drill to deep. not recommended for beginners. if your headset or bb start feeling rough like gritty not smashed in, if you are planning to buy a new one try removing the seals and cleaning and re-greasing it first. it can make them last longer and bring them back from the dead.
All great advice. BUT PLEASE DO NOT PUT SAND DOWN THE DRAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is enough junk going down there from careless people already. Please throw the sandy water on your garden or just outside. Thanx. And your local water company thanx u 2. :¬)

Holy crap ola, these hacks are the best ive seen so far. The idea with a dusty hub, pure genius. The bar end in the fork, EVEN BETTER. You are a massive inspiration for my bmx riding! Keep doing the crazy stuff you do!
To replace grips that have no lockrings put a screwdriver down old the grips and pour in a bit of pure alcohol then twist it off. if you use enough and do it quick you can just slide the new ones on and just twist till it drys up. loads better than zip ties put it that way lol

hmmm for the bottom brackets put the piece 2mm shortes or doesn't put the piece is the same. Without the piece bearings can't spin well because they are pressed. If you remove the piece you consume your bearings.
If you want your chain to be smooth riding, take if off, get a pan and put a candle in the pan and let is sit until it melts, then dip your chain in the hot wax and you will never hear you chain sqeek again. also helps if you have white wall tires and you are sick of all the grease from the chain staining your tires.
DON'T PUT GLUE ON YOUR RIMS. The applied glue heats up under friction braking and makes them more slippery, it's like a slimy gel coating when it gets hot again. Then you are left with hot glue crap all over the rims and pads. They squeak and takes a long time to remove it all again by hand. Never again.
If you buy a left side drive hub, and cant afford to buy new cranks to match, flip the cranks to their opposite side, SHIT! pedals are backwards! Time to get greasy and take your pedals apart to swap them! Good luck getting all the bearings back in, but shit works 100%, saves mad cash on cranks too.
Some of these are werid. like really werid. you don´t wanna use grip tape on the cranks because your messing up the cranks if you have colored or non black cranks and it´ll be werid trying to do crank arm grinds. If your having trouble landing whips or crank flips, look at your shoe and decide on weather or not you should get new ones or make your current shoes more bendy so you can grip the cranks a bit better. I´m not talking from experience but from observation and things that might help. I´m new to BMX and currently am trying to find a 28t sprocket so I don´t mess up my current one. As the previous owner put a 40t sprocket on the thing. It´s good for speed. I´m not gonna do BMX racing anytime soon but thanks for the life hacks.
Hi can you give me your lost parts of your bmx because I love bmx but I' don't have many to bay bmx I'm your fun &your my IDOL I love tricks please thinks!!!!!
dude...the shoelace thing has been around since the 80s.. if you modify the inner spacer on your bb and over tighten it, it will put too much side load on the bearings. they won't work properly, that's why it feels hard to spin the cranks. it will prematurely wear and damage your components. better off using the tube on the axle hack.

Free tip: Dont use sand to rub between your hands. You should put ground coffee in olive oil and rub your hands with that. Sand in sink is problem in long run.
hairspray. makes your rims more sticky=more braking power. also works for putting on new grips. with the hairspray the grips will just slip on the bars, when it dries they are on to stay till you get moisture unterneath the grips.
At first I thought this was gonna be a rip off of Adam's vid, but props to you for giving credit where its due!

Bmx bar end hack - if you have an old plastic bar end that is stuck inside your bars you could take a wine bottle opener and twist it out 👍🏼👍🏼
Pete Iliopolos Now that's a good one!

Juicy Jack I have a life hack for you. Don’t care about what people ride.

If you keep popping tires because of your spokes... tape black electrical tape over the inside of your spokes than put your rubber protecter back on. Fixxed

Jack Mould or just use less grease
put innertube between the crank arm and the BB

Last hack with hub bearings is sooo simple but really helpful
pipe cleaners work better then the shoelace does.
instead of glue on the rim use rubbing alcohol to clean your rim and install soft pads. and dont put anything like pop or that on your rim, some of them have salt in them, salt corrodes aluminium
also if your pads are old then remove them and feel the surface if it feels hard and like glazed over sand it down till it feels soft and fresh again. keeps your brake pads lasting longer.
instead of removing that spacer and slimming it down you can use a flange from a grip inside the crank arm on one side of your cranks. if you set it up right itll prevent your cranks from spinning but wont make pedaling feel bad.
flipping your stem doesnt necessarily make your bars taller, some frontload stems are designed to give you rise, if you flip it itll drop the bars.
my personal hacks. for gyro users, derailer inner wires work as inners for dual lower cable set ups and are thinner and thus smoother. regular old school housing is smoother then linear housing so for gyros dont use linear housing. you can use v brake noodles for the bends on your lower cables.
for levers if it hits your hand when you pull the lever, you can take a torch and heat the lever up and bend it with the closed end of a wrench, go slow. you can also do this to personal the shape.
for dual lower gyro cables you can take a second london mod or dual cable adapter, remove the barrel adjusters and run your brake cable housing through it. then bolt it to the front most cable guide on your frame. use the rear one as normal. nor you have a dual cable guide to keep your cables looking nice and out of the way. this plus the v brake noodle mod keeps the housing running along time, whe the winners break just buy derailer inners, they are thinner and easier to break but because there are two of them the load is split so they work for gyros, just dont mash on the brake really hard. however because they are thinner and smoother it also means you need less spring tension to make your brakes spring back, meaning you can feather the break easier for manuals. meaning you only ever need 2 fingers at most. derailer inners are usually like 2$ or less in north america for basic ones. you can also get fancy teflon coated ones for even smoother brakes.

if your headset or bb start feeling rough like gritty not smashed in, if you are planning to buy a new one try removing the seals and cleaning and re-greasing it first. it can make them last longer and bring them back from the dead.
