When I was a kid, the multi-colored cotton candy was sold wrapped up in plastic in Coney Island. I always opted for the fresh-made pink stuff ... it was fascinating to see the fluff appear almost by magic. I remember it was impossible to pull the cotton candy off the white paper handle without getting red sticky stuff all over my fingers and face. Maybe it was 25 cents back then?
