@@chitchat1995 actual winner was Marion Jones. Yrs later Marion Jones admitted to doping heavily during this period and was made to relinquish all her medals (she won 4 in that Olympics) . Since she had to relinquish her medals (wins) so the Silver medalist became the gold medalist, Bronze medalist became Silver medalist, etc

Funny thing is, do we really believe that Marion Jones was the only athlete at those Olympic Games on dope? Did she test positive? I don't recall exactly what they had on her.
She ended up serving a significant amount of prison time. I never understood what she did to deserve such a harsh punishment. Not just in the court, but in life.

@@herculesking7458 She didn't test positive, Hercules. But she did admit to long-term drug use and also lying to federal investigators. That last part led to the jail sentence.
For those confused at the first race, Marion Jones was the initial winner until she was caught doping, banned, and was forced to vacate her titles, which included the gold medal at the 2000 Olympics

When Felix finally won her gold medal was so amazing. We saw a once in a generation athlete perform at the peck of there power and Pauline she was so happy to get sliver and to represent she deserved her gold

Susanthika Jayasinghe from Sri Lanka in that first race winning bronze. The only Asian sprinter to have succeeded with a medal at Olympics.
