I just watched the video again, and I'd like to say thank you for no music. I prefer to hear the realistic noise from the old cars, the singing gears, the stones rattling in the fenders, the muffling exhaust, the tyres on the wet tarmac. No soundtrack needed on this one 👍
My father had this jeep when I was a kid . I love the sound and the pickup of the engine . My father and me once got stuck in the desert sand , but it's 4×4 solved the problem. Beautiful childhood memories.
When I was a kid, watching a movie about II WW, I felt in love with the Jeep Willys. I own a Jeep Wrangler TJ that I love it and Jeep is my favourite brand. Great video and thanks for sharing.
I drove the AMC(?) jeep all over the place when stationed in the military in the 70s. Absolutely loved the machine. Good to see people still tooling around in them.
I love these old jeeps.. I like all equipment from world war 2. I hope it all gets preserved at some point. The sound of the engine is a wonderful sound
Love these gems! I have a kJ Renegade and although not a true Wrangler etc . Its a member of the family. One day hope to own one of these beauties. Thank you!
My dad had a 41 Ford willys drive train, I remember the full floater rear axle because I managed to twist it off buy doing stupid kid stuff, said ford on the tailgate which didn't open, it was solid. I fell in love with jeeps, owned several over the years, and I'm driving my 95 YJ today, it's been a daily driver for 23yrs now. It's the 4.0 HO automatic.
I hope to get another wife with my old jeep Willy’s Overland 😊. I hope so and just there’s one northern American 25 girl note in my list.❤🙏;that old Willy’s overland jeep make me feel like dancing.
This is the first thing I learned to drive in the army in 1989. Broke my tailbone jumping a ditch in the backseat of one. Had a front blowout on the hardball once. Was going about 45 MPH. It was easy to control at that speed. Government issue tires are horrible on wet pavement. You’ll slide right through a red light if you’re not careful.
Every year they organize a drive-in in Butler, Pa, a small town in western Pennsylvania where first Jeeps were designed and manufactured during IIWW. Hundreds of Jeeps from around the US and possibly other countries show up.
It's my dream !
Hi ,it’s very funny ride it inside the heavy traffic of the street now in all this years ‘23 🆙, I have been the owner of 2 Willy’s war jeep, here in Dominican Republic (a tropical 🌴 Island).. This kind of jeep don’t have any doors but it’s very funny ride it ,bu with the seat belt.
Lots of great old iron. Beautiful country. Sorry, but what country? Your version of tread lightly is different than ours. Always been partial to old Willy's, I still have the original tires and rims from when I had mine. Great in the deep stuff, but scary on ice..... Guess that's why I had chains.
Had a 1941 Ford Jeep with all three serial numbers matched was use by the 101 Airborne during WWII. I rolled it off the side of a hill almost killed myself.
That might be true, but they had no alternative and were risking their lives in every operation. They had to carry ammo and food and water with them to be self sufficient. Mostly they were on recon and usually attacked, if necessary, at night or when it was advantageous to them. Unless they were seen in the daylight.
My grandfather buy this for jeeb willys at 1965 and my father enjoy but , I'm not see and drive this jeeb , now see and think about drive this Ford petrol jeeb 4*4
Wow! short 27 inches not a big as tall or wide tires but 750 16 get u 4 in clearance and 15 mph or 700 rpm with way better pavement speed in mountain still got 4 low
The cylinder is a condenser tank for cooling water to the engine. There is a big temperature difference between day and night in the desert and the condenser tank must be large.

This is a 9 grille hole Ford Bantam unlike the bigger 7 grille hole Kaiser Willys 3:13 version!
The original Army version used the 9 grille Ford version.
Non directional military tires suck period !
A thing of beauty❤👌
My dream car. I love Willys😍😍😍😍
so. Cleo was so old🤪

Wow!, did everyone see that? both of those jeeps went right through those mud pottles with out any problems or break downs, amazing. ONLY IN A JEEP.
Volvo C304 and Mercedes Geländewagen also has some good quality, they run smoothly over trenches and everything.
Not any holes I saw my 2x4 posi Trac binder would not do .
Gewaltig

Wow..idolaku...mantap..👍
💪
I like Willys jeep always👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Yeah..me too 😄😄
Thanks for informative video, liked & subcribed!!
Many Thanks Global Military Info
Really nice job! I would only change the tires to WWII US non-directionals. Since a Willys - Goodyear would be appropriate.
Might not be a Willys. Could be a Ford!
@@thedocisin3204 If that is the case, go with Firestone NDTs for a Ford GPW. They're what's appropriate then (either way, NDTs is what was on them).
Willys và Jeep tôi thấy rất đẹp, đơn giản kiểu dã chiến!
Maravilhoso 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Had a 1941 Ford Jeep with all three serial numbers matched was use by the 101 Airborne during WWII. I rolled it off the side of a hill almost killed myself.

awsome!
Thanks..
I wonder how many of those are original and how many are reproductions from the Philippines?
I wish Jeep made a military style trailer for their new Wranglers. I’d definitely buy one.
If you want a real jeep why buy a Chrysler?
Was it so smart with so many fuel cannister on the SAS jeep during wartime???
Unless they were empty of course....
No gas stations in the desert behind enemy lines.
@@ericsissenwein3601 I meant, one lucky shot long distance from an enemy sniper and its bye, bye....

Can you tell me what type of tires are on the Desert Jeep . Make and model please. ThankS.
It should be US WWII non-directionals. Look up pics of WWII SAS Jeeps for photos.
Super inteiro👍👍🤝🤝❤
😎👌
Naisssssss.......🤩🤩🤩
Thanks Sugeng Rihadi
The twin Vickers guns on the replica S.A.S jeep should have a mini windscreen
They had those in Europe after the North Africa campaign, but not in the desert.
ready for Normandy's 6th june 2024 celebration ??? 👍🙂
Nyerő !
You must love Jerry cans.
Yes, indeed 😄
❤️❤️❤️
Floating rear axles like larger trucks, very durable with 2 outer bearings at each rear wheel.
Super .
Yeahh 👌
dang what a cool jeep, what tire brand and size are you using anyway?
tires are 6x16 👌
Wow! short 27 inches not a big as tall or wide tires but 750 16 get u 4 in clearance and 15 mph or 700 rpm with way better pavement speed in mountain still got 4 low
Willy's are mules with four wheels, they can go anywhere!
What price ❤
what is that external cylinder that carries the radiator in the front
Sorry my english
The cylinder is a condenser tank for cooling water to the engine. There is a big temperature difference between day and night in the desert and the condenser tank must be large.
