I have always loved how the redeye shift of the Daytona broadcast seems to capture more perfectly than anything else the true spirit of endurance racing. No hyperactive cutting or gratuitous slo-mo replays, just a lone man standing on a rooftop with a zoom lens and 49 onboard cameras. No endless commercial breaks or over-the-top musical cues, just glorious mechanical thunder. No obnoxious sponsorship messages or manufactured excitement, just the soothing sounds of The Voices of endurance racing.
Thanks to IMSA for putting these races on TH-cam and thanks to all of the broadcast partners that help make it happen. Nothing replaces the live experience of watching a race, but being able to watch them on replay at my own pace is so great.
Thanks for the reuploads! I watched all the TV coverage and now have these playing in the background for the superior IMSA Radio commentary. This series is one of the best!
Strange at it may seem; I preferred the old version. I could play the video very loud and enjoy the awesome sounds! Maybe IMSA can upload some "sound only" Rolex 24? Thank you for the uploads anyway!
the hours pass but the director continues to ignore the important moments of the race. when there are 11 hours and 15 minutes to the end of the race, there is a battle between cars number 25 and 62, but the director ignores them, continuing to frame cars that run alone. incompetent
