I just cannot believe how good it is and no mussels
    It is so intact
Pop a few airbags on it and bring it up
    It is amazing 👍👍

Beautiful video; thank you for sharing it! I have been drawn to the Gunilda since I was a kid and the Detroit Free Press wrote about Jean-Michael Couesteau calling it the "most beautiful and intact shipwreck" he'd ever seen in the early 80's. Thank you again for the video and for not having horrible music with it (or for opting to go with Gordon Lightfoot - great song but a bit overplayed in video's).

Thanks! It's a great dive and an amazingly preserved shipwreck. Cousteau was definitely right!

Great video. I'm guessing 40 degree's max at depth.

It was cold... Probably a few degrees below 40 if I remember right. Most of us dove with heat vests. Also had a few thermoclines on the way up. :-)

The wealthy owner of the vessel did not want to pay for a pilot and thought he could navigate better. Then once going on the rocks, the owner did not want to pay for a second tow vessel to safely tow it off the rocks even after the request/demand from the captain of the tow vessel. So the tow vessel captain followed the owner's direction and pulled it off the rocks and it sank to the bottom in 270ft of water. A good lesson in being open to the direction of those more knowledgable and experienced than ones self.

270 feet is pretty deep. For scuba. Maybe mixed gas diving.

Yes, mixed gas diving. We dove with CCR's (Closed Circuit Rebreathers) with Trimix
