These new action bases are amazing. While the older ones were fine, I couldn’t really use them for anything besides Gunpla. With the action base 4, I was experimenting and found it can be used with Figma, SH Figuarts, Robot Damashii, and even Gundam Gashapon Ensemble. The versatility of these things is quite impressive
The issue you have with the action base 4 is fixed with the base adapter that it comes with. It's the oring that comes with it and you put that into the base. And then the circle base for the arm. Hope that helps

I recommend using action base 6 if you’re building up some light weighted HG/RG kits. Same price as base 4 and 5, but it has 2 bases and 2 arms in 1 package, and it does the job well. Btw if the figure is a bit heavier, you can use base 7 instead. It’s the same as base 6, but a bit more expensive and came with more sturdy arms.
Zach, i bought 1 base and currently holding 1 MG Qubeley & 1 MG Gouf. You can have an MG kit with 1 stand but you need to populate 2 holes in the base.. The same principle on doing it is the same with the previous 1/100 action base.
Don't know if this has already been commented on here, but the old action base 2's arm does fit on this base. The peg on the bottom is the same size; thus, if you have a bunch of action base 2's lying around you have a lot more posing options.
Looking forward to these, kinda love the Kotobukiya vibe and feel to the design. I'm really short on Action Bases and holding out for these bases and waiting for a good review.

Hey, just curious but the large double arm on the 4. Do you find that to be stronger than the old style action base? Like would it be strong enough to hold a heavy mg like the Sinanju without the arm bending?

While the new bases are much better when it comes to the engineering, I'm personally a little disappointed in the lack of detail on the base itself, it can be fun to paint the action base 1 and personalize it.

I bought an action base 4 and it handled 3 RGs, the weapon arm is strong to lift a light RG like Exia.

the three arms is good for doing combining MS like the ZZ, S Gundam, Victory, Impulse, Tryon 3, & Dryon Drei when in their separated forms.

Mico Nuq the versatility with these is cool, but imo that base you’re talking about is still the best. Super sturdy.
The value, utility, and amount of plastic in these sets FAR surpasses the OG bases! I'm really looking forward to grabbing a few of these!
