Physical and unrelenting. That speech after the NFC CG win over the Falcons was insane....I didn't think we could lose with someone like him on our team. Eagle forever #20...forever.

Ed Reed and Polamalu will go down as better safeties by virtue of winning the DPOY & having a ring...But I'll defend Dawkins as an eagles fan and someone who watched every snap of his career in green and white....But, I'd put Dawkins up with either of them...37 INTs, 37 forced fumbles, 16 fumble recoveries and and 26 sacks...not to mention how good he was at run support on the line...AND how absolutely tenacious and feared he was. Great player, Hall of Famer...and an all-time Eagle

To this day listening to Dawk speak before and after games still gives me chills. One of the most aggressive players to ever play the game, yet at the same time one of the cleanest. His play style should be a model for all young football players.

TheSecdefchris84 they were clean 90% of the time. but they were so ferocious their bad hits would have been 4 game suspensions and that would have been terrible
not only would it cause them to be suspended, but it would also cause a lot of annoying media backlash. now when ever someone makes a big bone jarring hit, the media wants to get in an uproar and came that it should have been what ever type of penalty they can think of seens in how those people are usually the ones that don't truly know football like they think they do. And, know whenever a bug hit is made, the offensive player gets so hurt. That's probably because they're not used to being delivered a big hit anymore like offensive players from the past were.
