I’ve heard this a few times but it still sends chills through me, wow!!!
I loved this story. It reminded me of a time several years ago when I was working at a spa as a massage therapist and had just finished a long day when a late last minute client walked in, a huge 6’4” tattooed biker. He took 20 minutes to fill out our information form because he was thinking up sarcastic funny answers for all the questions. Steaming mad and arguing with God about why He would put me in this tough situation, I mustered my little 5’2” frame and walked in to deal with this character. God told me to have mercy, so I tried. The guy had dragons and skulls on his arms and legs, and when he flipped over onto his stomach, he had big eyeballs tattooed on the back of his bald head. I flipped out and got another push from the Lord. We were chatting a bit, and the guy asked me if I had ever dealt with depression. So I understood the assignment, gave my testimony, and to my surprise that hulk came to Jesus on his face on my massage table and it was one of the best miracles of many that God has done in my life. Hallelujah.

I remember when Slow Train Coming was released. People weren't sure he really got saved because he still sounded like Bob Dylan. They expected him to sound "Christian". LOL

The Rolling Stones took their name in 1962 from the Muddy Waters song, “Rollin’ Stone” released in 1950. It was his version of a 1920’s blues song called “Catfish Blues.” Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone” was released in 1965 on his Highway 61 Revisited album and was written after a particularly grueling tour. Highway 61 is a road running through the Mississippi Delta. Legend says it is the location of the crossroads where blues singer Robert Johnson sold his soul to the Devil.

Well it would be interesting for him to circle back with Bob. I remember the rumors bob dylan was born again. He has even since then said he sold his soul to the devil & the only reason he had success. A follow up to this would be a good idea. A lot of Christians know this about bob & have for decades.

It was great till it wasn't you see what they don't tell you is that Bob Dylan way back in the beginning of his career he made bargain and when asked who he made the bargain with Bob Dylan replied with the ceff Commander and he was then asked which one Bob Dylan said with the one here and one we can't see he sold his soul many many moons ago they also didn't tell you that after he told people that he was a Christian people Walked out of his concerts and the music industry owned him from that moment on and the bargain last even after death and that's the part their all so horrified of because you know exactly what you have done other than selling your soul these people have to do some things that our minds can't even comprehend these people were born into this they all have a handler from day one most of the girls are actually boys and the boy are actually girls it's so crazy and it's so absolutely true nothing is what it seems the old saying the world is a stage it most definitely is it's the old devil's stage that's why everyone has a television telling you how to feel think act treat people it's what the old folks use to call the ole evil box it's the devil's platform how perfect for him because it's setting in everyone's living room how convenient don't you think 🤨😳

I got saved because of the conviction from Everybody's Gotta Serve Somebody! Has Mario kept in contact with Bob Dylan because every time I check on Bob - not personally of course, but Facebook etc, it does not appear that Bob is serving the Lord. I do pray that Bob returns to his Jesus. That song was instrumental (no pun intended) in me getting saved.

So when Bob Dylan was interviewed and he said he made a deal with the "Commander in Chief" and that he was keeping his end of the bargain you think that he was referring to Jesus??
1) He would have been forthright if that were the case.
2) You don't make "deals" with our Lord and Savior.
3) You shall know them by their fruits.
If he was a Christian, there would be no dancing around the subject. One who doesn't state Jesus is Lord is not of God. Test the spirits, the Bible warns. I don't pass judgement, I can see this with my spiritual eyes, not of my own making but by that of the Holy Spirit. ✝️

I was there! Bob made some disparaging remarks abt San Francisco. In my opinion he’s not attached to the True & Living Holy Spirit. He’s attached to the cultural Jesus. Pray fr him.
Bob Dylan in the WSJ in 2022: “I’m a religious person. I read the scriptures a lot, meditate and pray, light candles in church. I believe in damnation and salvation, as well as predestination. The Five Books of Moses, Pauline Epistles, Invocation of the Saints, all of it.”

The Rolling Stones got their name from an old Muddy Water's LP.
It's really too bad that Bob Dylan did not continue his walk with the Lord. We know he didn't because in 2004 (30 years after that phone call Mario received) Bob Dylan talked to a journalist on 60 Minutes, and quite clearly spoke to host Ed Bradley about his "bargain".
...So why is he still out there?
"It goes back to that destiny thing. I mean, I made a bargain with it, you know, long time ago. And I'm holding up my end … to get where I am now," says Dylan.
And with whom did he make the bargain? "With the chief commander," says Dylan, laughing. "In this earth and in the world we can't see."
I am old enough to remember a time when Dylan was considered to be a folk musician who had become a Christian. For those who don't remember, check out an article called "10 Defining Lyrics From Bob Dylan’s Gospel Trilogy", published August 12, 2021 in THE FEDERALIST.

Years back in New Zealand my friend from California, we all stayed in a big house together, it was like a discipleship house 1976, David told me he had wrapped a song he recorded onto a cassette and that he is sending it to Bob Dylan. He prayed for him and wrote this song speaking to him. Likely Bob had a lot of different people praying for him. Probably more than one song sent singing Gospel truth to him. I listened to David singing the song he sent, called Hey Bob. It was a good one. When Bob Dylan recorded those 3 albums we all bought them, I remember slow train coming, they were cool songs, like most Dylan songs, probably my fav song on those 3 albums is Holding On. Watched a live performance of it and he left the stage, left them singing it, it was awesome, just went on and on, getting more and more intense but slow like it was a train going somewhere very special and we were on it.

Bob Dylan had 3 Christian-themed albums in 1979, 1980, and, in 1981.
*Slow Train Coming* , *SAVED* , and, *Shot Of Love* , respectively..
And, in 1983, he released " *INFIDELS* ", his first secular recording after the religious ones. Which, at first, was touted as Christian, but, actually leaned more towards Jewish Orthodoxy, kind of.
Then, in the following year of '84, he stated in a ROLLING STONE magazine interview, that he never said he was Born Again.
In 1988, on his album "Down In The Groove" he recorded two Christian theme songs, covers of other song writers, but, outside of that, no real outspokenness of being a sold-out Believer in JESUS CHRIST.
There always must be some noticeable indication that one is a follower and believer in JESUS CHRIST. It's not a thing to hide under a bushel.
Decades ago, it's being said, he sold his soul to the Devil for songwriting and musicianship skills. As black Robert Johnson had done.
Dylan has repeatedly made reference to his belief in Christianity. Please read his interviews over the

I hope Bob Dylan does get saved. And I’m sure the seed had been sown in him at some point. But on what kind of soil? Because recently I saw an interview where he was asked why he’s still performing. And he answered, he had made a deal a long time ago for fame with the devil, and was fulfilling his end of the deal. Jesus said, not all that confess his name will enter heaven, but those who do the will of my Father in heaven. Many are called, but few are chosen. The seed (the word) is sown and even begins to grow in many peoples lives, but only the seed sown in good soil produces the fruit unto salvation! So I truly hope the seed falls in Dylan’s heart in good soil, which will bring repentance, and produce fruit for Gods kingdom, and has not fallen in thorny soil, where he gladly receives the word, but fame and fortune chokes it out, and fruit is never produced. Because many will say Lord, Lord, but few will enter in! Take heed that your not one who confesses Jesus as Lord. But don’t do what you confess you believe! A one time confession will not save you. Faith is everyday believing, and causes you to do what you confess you believe! In Christ’s Love!

Yeah but Mario, what about Bob Dylan now? He backslid long time ago. When I went to YWAM dts in Texas in 81 people were saying he was struggling and that Keith Green was trying to disciple him. I loved the slow train coming album. The lyrics were so profound. It was clear he had met God. I prayed for him many times burdened. Then years later I saw an interview with him and a popular news anchorman. He admitted he had to return to the devil because he had made a deal with him. He was so deceived. It's so sad.
I saw that interview. Yes, disturbing, but Bob MAY have been messing with the interviewer. Bob has a track record of countering questions with tongue in cheek answers. At this juncture I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe he remains saved.

I am talking about the practical actual way they got the name, based on research.
Brian Jones was the leader of the band at the time and they did not have a definite name.
A booking agent on the phone asked him what their name was and he noticed a Muddy Waters album in his room with the song "Rolling Stone" and he blurted that out with an "s" to make it plural.
Whether that was demonically inspired it is not my place to say.

To @JewandGreek, LOL yep. We are clean but doesn't mean we have to wear certain clothes, hairstyle and talk a certain way. We minister and we stay away from things that God detests. We are anew in spirit.
