Too bad ! AGT didn't appreciate it! This is a cooked show after this GOD talent singer didn't win , I don't watch it any more !
indeed because he grew in in the street finding food to sustain.. and helive also in jail together his father and then in the orphanage...but GOD is good all the time.....look where is marcelito now.. he has a beautiful life and a loving wife and blessed with 1 daughter..❤❤❤

Marcelito has recorded this song as a duet where he sings the song where the voices harmonize and has longer sentences - it is called The Prayer and it is on his Duet Yourself album. It sounds amazing - I loved the harmonizing!
Hello Kat, I love your reaction, and your comment on his performance. As a vocal coach you were not breaking him to the ground, if you know what I mean, I was floored when I heard this man the first time. He has so much talent! I can't tell you just how much I enjoyed his voice and how many times I've listened to his song covers. He is just amazing and his range is really out of this world. Once again... Welcome. This performance is like nothing anyone has seen or heard - that's why it is difficult to critique. Amazing. He also sang in two languages - neither of which are his native language.
By the way, he was impersonating Celine. Those pitch inflections are similar to Celine's approach to some notes. I DARE to think that his impersonations may be smoother than the original persons' voices.
Imagine Marcelito can do both male and female voices but then he can also do falsetto for both! You can tell the difference as many other dual singers only have male and falsetto for the female part. For Marcelito to do all four voices is mind blowing.

I agree with you that his lower register is particularly nice. While not perfect, this performance is really a homage to two singers who inspired him. His personal story of hardship as a boy is so compelling. I think we all celebrate the TRIUMPH that is Marcelito. I really enjoyed your critique.

Another God-gifted young man with an exceptionally beautiful and very versatile voice. Marcelito is from the Philippines and was very poor as a child so had no singing lessons.Since his career has taken off, he may be getting some training now. I really don't know but he has other songs on youtube. You might want to look them up and see what you think.

Marcelito won Phillipines Got Talent which qualified him for a spot on America's Got Talent, The Champions 2020. His primary singing competition on this show was a 13 year old, Angelina Jordan, who won Norway's Got Talent at age 7. She has an amazing voice and innate talent at resurrecting jazz from the 1930s to 1960s. Hope you will add her to your list. She has millions of avid fans. I've seen reactors with a few thousand subscribers get 100K+ views featuring her.

When Marcelito did the Prayer on AGT with an orchestra it was flawless. It's much more difficult to do with a recorded background.
I call this a solo duet. Am I that far off?
He lived on the street from age 7 until age 24. He doesn't speak either english or Italian at the time. So he really didn't know what he was singing about. Growing up on the street he quite literally sung for his meals. He won Philippines Got Talent singing the prayer. Never the less,he no longer sleeps on the street.

He's got great voices... Apparently it's something quite common in the Philippines. They call it " Doble Cara"
This is my first time listening to Marcelito. I can admire what he was doing going from male to female voice but at the same time found it quite disconcerting. He has a beautiful voice and I'd love to hear him sing a song without the abrupt vocal changes. I think I could well enjoy that. Cheers, Steve

If you liked like me and millions of others also Marcelito Pomoy and Morissette Amon who have fantastic voices, then you will also love this unique and fantastic singer who is like my neighbor 20 min from my home... in the Netherlands , her story is not as strong as Marcelito who lived with her on the street, but she is also sad because she who had been singing since she was 7 years old stopped at all one day because she had become pregnant when she was 28 and had to give up the song because this man had abandoned him and she raised his son alone for 15 years, then one day the miracle happened his 15 year old son saw his mother cry every day and enrolled him in American's got talent where she finished 2nd but the audience award is 43 years old lol.. and since then she has been a hit everywhere she sings alone or with her group (Ladies Of Soul 4 super top singer too, of whom I would also put a video of the group on another link ok cool.. ) and this fantastic song she sang in an evening in front of 150,000 people in Tribute to Whitney Houston it was an incredible success and all the vocal coach say the same its crazy we would say that it came down from the sky and its reincarnated in it (Whitney is bach) wow wow wow .... beautiful vision on you will also loved like millions of people too .... Great reaction! Marcelito Castro Pomoy IS THE REAL DEAL. Check out his life story; it is worthy of a movie I had the great privilege of meeting and watching him live in concert in June in Toronto. Watching him live was like an out of body experience. The videos DO NOT do his voice any justice. Proud to be Filipino. Cheers from Toronto. From his biggest fan in Canada.
