I’m so happy to have found his discussion! I’m finally understanding what I’m going through. My body is starting to feel more balanced 2 years after the culmination of excessive high intensity exercise and under feeding.
I’ve heard that central nervous system adaptation described as the “Central Governor Theory of Fatigue”.

I keep hearing you guys talk about how bad steady state cardio is but there are many forms! I understand that just getting on a treadmill or bike and going as hard as you can for as long as you can is bad but walking or gentle jogging is also steady state but they are very different. I think you need to start saying 'steady state above 75% max HR' is bad. Even then, steady state upto 85% max HR once or twice a week for endurance athletes is fine. Yes HIIT is beneficial for time crunched athletes but I think the goal would be to become less time crunched in life! The terms 'time crunched' and 'HIIT' are just all wrong when you think about the bigger picture. It brings to mind images of people rushing around, stressed out and hammering themselves with HIIT whenever they have a spare 30 minutes!

I had a BJJ comp last week, and leading up to the comp, I was lifting good, eating good, and did alot of sprints… i was strong and explosive entering. But man, as the fights progress and fighting back to back matches, I was extremely fatigued.
I researched for what could have been missing in my preperation, and it was that I never did any steady state. I didnt have a good aerobic base.
So today I am going to do Zone 2 training ! Build back up. The foundations.

A good strategy if you wanna be in a deficit and not fuck your metabolism. Eat at maintenance 4 or 5 days a week and then 2 days a week have a big deficit 700 to 800 calories. Or just calorie cycle it works so good .

His metabolic adaptation statements sound like a retooled starvation mode which as we know from various studies is a myth, the experiments showed that people living on 500 calories a day continued losing weight and a consistent pace until there wasn't much weight left to lose.
Metabolism is the energy required to sustain the weight you have your muscle fat etc, as well as your activity so I don't see how your body can just decide that the muscle fat etc doesn't require 2000 calories to sustain anymore and you're not burning 500 calories doing exercise so it sustains all this on 800 cals as per his example, to me this defies the laws of thermodynamics.

It's true what you say...however, what no one ever seems to discuss is what is the bottom rung threshold that you can eat calorie wise where your body will just keep adjusting in the way that he talks about, where if you go lower than that point you will just keep losing "weight" (muscle, fat, bone density...everything). If the body could just adjust to any caloric threshold, anorexics wouldn't exist and Christian Bale wouldn't have been able to star in The Machinist with his tin of tuna and apple a day diet. EVERYONE would seem to have that threshold that is specific to them.

Environment is killing us to not just diet choices. Our foods pollution and life style are all to blame.
We have 60% less t today than we did 20-40 years ago.
Men are not the same today. Boys are soft and weak due to this.
    Sensitive mother fishers. Everywhere.
Look around everyone needs safe space, Sri, anxiety meds and shit.
I guarantee that so much would change if parents ensures their boys and girls were healthy and not just hormonally. Instead they make life easy and curate the life so that children do not face life.
I’m not doing this to my children. I’m feeding them right. I’m teaching them to stay fit. Enjoy life and forget the haters.
