    I did a lot of research before and spoke with about 25 to 40 people about this. Surgery time from 12 years ago up to just the past year. And all have had great outcomes. Compared to the hernia pain that brought them to getting the surgery.

    I may have a third hernia now. If I need a third surgery it will only be with a specialist that only does hernias. My surgeon blew it twice.

      Hernia repair is done by general surgeons. There is no hernia “specialist”. There are general surgeons that sorta market themselves as focusing on hernias.

    • @alaplex100
      @alaplex100 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Wrong. There are hernia specialists and I would much prefer someone who only performs hernia surgery than a general surgeon who performs all surgeries. Had I not had Kaiser and had a PPO plan I would have definitely went to a specialist.

    Mesh is a miracle for hernia repair. Erosion is rare. Risk of infection comparable to any surgery. Doesn't really become part of flesh, it provides a larger surface area for scar tissue to form and heal the original problem. IMO the majority of complaints are the direct result of legal advertising, not real problems (majority, not all)

    I’ve had two failed operations that only lasted six months each. The problem is not the mesh in many cases,it’s the weakness around it. I have bad wind and constipation at times plus coughing and sneezing which causes pressure in that area and I’m waiting to see a surgeon for advice. I support the inguinal hernia with Lycra pants which is partially successful and hope to get a purpose made support. I don’t have pain other than the wind and constipation which I’m navigating with a better diet and laxatives from the doctor.
    I’ve always been careful for six weeks after the procedures.

Causes pain all around my body because everything is in a twist. Especially my shoulders. Makes the gym quite challenging. I've suffered upper body injuries because of the compensation patterns caused by the rotated pelvis. Trying to fix it is near impossible since the psoas muscle is a difficult muscle to target and the atrophy is so severe. Mesh is a bad idea.

      I am in constant pain from mesh. Patch and plug mesh. I can't get out of bed hardly. All I do is try to get help and cry.

    I was targeted while sleep with mesh lije material i called the police even going to tge hospital where nothing had been done. The hispital made false claims that i was crazy and thus stuff is throughout my scalp vaginal area toes hands face ears throar teeth and eyes. I need asditance with th detection of the mesh plus removal. The material has been cutting pulling on my toes hands legs and scalp. And bunched on my back

      There are such things, but results apparently aren’t as sturdy.
