I was part of Lean Team where we were painting spools (25,000) of them and we conducted an MSA on my team, including me. The results were fascinating - the effectiveness of my team was only 75%, which means - potentially, that 5,000 painted spools had the potential of failure! The MSA gave us recommendations to ensure alignment between all of our teams. Great stuff.
Hi Luke - Nice critique, this was the second video I ever recorded and in those days someone else edited them for me and loaded them to youtube. I've just checked and you're right, there is no updated version. I will record one a let you know when it's posted...cheers

Hello, how is MSA (Measurement System Analysis) conducted on parts where destructive testing is performed? There are controls where we can’t reinspect the part. What kind of method do you apply?
Hi Marijus - Yes that's an early video, not edidted by myself. All my current edits are music free. I think only 10 of the 200 are like that...Thanks for the support...
Short. Straightforward. Easy understandable. Completed.
I can only say "Thank you!"

Yes - I think people are sometimes surprised by the results of even the simplest measurement system....
Brilliant !! Well explained. Thank you Paul
Paul, this is so valuable. How about re-recording this with proper audio minus the romcom soundtrack?

Do we need to perform Gauge R & R if we have only one inspector working in one shift for inspecting a component?
Mukul - you can still do an MSA even with one person they can see if they can repeat the same measurement for the same part...
@@paulallen5321 I very much figured this must have been early days material. Love every bit about it. Learned a ton from you Paul. Thank you!
Hi Paul, i have a query on MSA. When do we "not" require to do MSA in a six sigma project? Or is it mandatory to conduct it?

Are there scenarios where the measurement distribution curve falls fully or partially within the machine distribution curve.?
Hi MA - No this won't happen because the measurement curve is a combination of the process variabiility plus the measurement vaariability...
excellent explanation sir, Thanks
Nagesh - thanks for the positive comments, if you get the chance look up my book 'drink tea and read the paper' on LULU.COM
