@KeenKaptainKlap I've meet Ricky myself and yes he is not just going to play anyone because they want him too, which I mean is not very nice, but he's not a braggart, he can take a joke (people joke about his gay dressing all the time), and he's put up with a lot of useless bashing over being gay, none of which he returns to others.
Obviously thrown, if Ricky won he'd have to play Rufus vs Daigo's Ryu, not that great of a match, and Champ would have had to play Dhalsim vs Tokido's Akuma, also not that hot. Smart metagame though.
@wwoww123456 If he had beaten Filipino Champ, Champ would have been on the receiving end of an Akuma okizeme workshop, and Ricky would have had to play Daigo, which would probably have went similarly to Evo. Is it so crazy to imagine Ricky also saw an opportunity to have his hombre win the tournament if he lost here?
@kourck Ricky Didnt Throw it I talked to him after about it and he says Champ beats him 35% of the time or something or like here and there and that day was one of his good days.
