  • Weighing in at at 1 lb 16 oz this tent accessory is pretty neat. This is great to have more room for gear (hence the name Gear Shed) and also 1 extra person.

Looks like more room than I would ever need, but like you said it would be great for a base camp. Im very pleased with my hubba hubba nx 1. Looks like yah are having some beautiful weather. It has finally stopped raining in NW La. Thanks for sharing!!

Todd Boone Thanks Todd. I don't use it often bc I like a light pack but it's nice when we have a 3rd person or just feel like having lots of space. The weather has been terrible here in Denver but finally the sun has been shining. Well until about 1 hour ago. It just started hailing.

That's the one I need to buy. I have this massive, heavy tent to replace!

Alex Torres I highly recommend it. I'll be doing a 1year review of the tent itself here
      soon.

Great review! I always like to have a place to keep extra gear with me to fiddle with while in my tent. Nice combo to add to the hubba hubba nx tent. Bob

In a deluge, how does the water trough off the tent and shed?...looks to me like the water would get under the tent fly and migrate inside?

Do you know if it will also work with the one person and three person version of the Hubba?
I later found out it works with 1, 2, and 3 person Hubba but not the 4 person.
How well do the sheds hold up in the rain?

God review, unfortunately I decided to not get it... Beats the idea of a light tent and there is another MSR tent with a built in storage section... So pick up the one that fits your needs :) that's for the reviewing, I saved couple hundred bux!!

I have the exact set up ! Just put it up today and was wondering if the gutter system works well? I'm in Washington state for the summer but live in Loveland Colorado during the winter.

Anthony Johnson I'm about a hour and half away from you my friend (Denver) The gutter system actually works, but in super heavy down poors not so much.

How long is the pole and how many sections. I was wondering if the poles could be replaced with shorter sections.

    • @AndyOnTheMountain
      @AndyOnTheMountain  8 ปีที่แล้ว

+cba191 I'm not sure on the length of the pole, but it fold up just like the poles for the tent itself. It wouldn't work with a shorter poll.

+Andy Timinsky is it 4 equal sections? How long are the sections? If I could make a custom one with 5 shorter sections it could fit in my panniers on my motorcycle.

Do you use a footprint with your tent? If so, do you recommend one? I just bought a hubba hubba nx and I'm on the fence if I should purchase one.

I would highly recommend a footprint. It will save your expensive tent from rocks, roots and eventually last longer in the long run. I cut a piece of Tyvek about 4" smaller then the floor itself. Works well and was only $10. Some people will use polycro plastic too.
