    You're right. It wasn't over. The full song features a great flute solo that goes on for a really long time. This was the song that was playing when I walked into my first school dance as a kid in 1976. Imagine a roomful of middle school kids with winged hair and Frye boots doing the hustle to this at full volume. One of the best funk songs of all time. Their other big hits were "Dusic" (1977) and "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody" (1978).

    OH YA!!! Disco Jazz!!! I love these guys. The flute is my favorite part of the song. Who cut out the flute? That sucks. Without the flute, they are only as good as all the other disco groups. With the flute, they are far and above all the rest of the era.

    Yeah, definitely another banger from back then! We had house parties to this and many others. And even had our on Soul Train line😄 Just good times! Here's a couple more from the 70's I think you'll enjoy. I Can Understand It by New Birth and Let's Work It Out by Latimore. Thanks again for the memories!

    One of the funkiest bands to come out of Atlanta in the '70s. Yes, please listen to the extended version, it's phenom. Other great tunes by Brick include "Dusic" and "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody."

    Lived this tune, one of the hot of bed back in the day. My town had a teen disco for kids to go and hang out on the weekends. Great times on the dance floor at a time when music had groove, soul and real dance beats.

Great rollerskating and dance songs! We JAMMED to those songs in the 70s!!! Lead singer Jimmy Brown plays sax, flute and trombone! WOW! Brick's mix of Disco and Jazz (Dazz) is legendary!

    The base player is rippin to an amazing base line. This song reaches inside you finding the dancer in you, no matter how small or hidden. This version has chopped off the flute solo, but at least includes the sax.

    This is one of my playlist songs! I listen to this a couple of times every week or more whenever I need to get some extra energy and get moving. Another good one that has a similar vibe that I think you would like is "Too Hot to Trot" by the Commodores. Also "Fantastic Voyage" by Lakeside. You may have done Fantastic Voyage, I am not sure. I love that time period the music was so fun and really made you dance.

    Jimmy "Lord" Brown, the one man horn section plays sax, flute, trombone, and trumpet. He is the father of Patrick "Sleepy" Brown, the lead singer on "I Like the Way You Move' by Outkast. They are all from Atlanta, Georgia.

    I can’t believe they never heard this before!! This has been one of my favs since I was in a senior in high school back in 1976. 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Jimmy Brown is a standup guy and is still touring today. Check him out on interview with Tall Boy and also their live concert in Houston is FABULOUS!!
