Not sure if your there long enough, but try paleokastritsa, lovely place with a monastery on a hill, I used to live there , there’s a bar in a cave called la grotta
We were on Corfu Agios Gordios recently the musaka was 16-18 euros the most I have ever paid and all tavernas were similar prices more expensive than Santorini last year.

Here's today's story, late at night a young policeman is driving down a country road when he sees one light in front of him, as he gets closer he realises it's a horse and cart with an old lady driving, he puts on the blue lights and she stops, he says " good evening Madam are you alright ?", she says " oh, good evening young man, yes I'm fine just making my way back to the farm", cop says " do you know one of your rear lights isn't working ?", she says " no, i didn't, I'll let farmer Brown know to fix it", the cop gets is torch out and has a look around the rest of the cart and spots one of the reins wrapped around the horse's testicles, he says " i don't know what's happened there madam , will you get the farmer to have a look", she says " ok, i will. When she gets home she tells farmer Brown what happened, she says " the nice policeman says you will have to fix the broken taillight AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE.
i used to work in spanish bars we would fill for example bells whisky bottles or smirnoff bottles with cheap whisky and vodka from a barrel from a bodega. maybe people still do this.ive been to corfu maybe 14 times now arillas is by far the best resort and has the best food on the island.
Hello we have been watching all your corfu videos especially the kavos ones . My partner and I have booked into trabukos beach complex right beside 42nd Street bar.i would love if you done a walk by or possibe sneak peak as since booking I have heard not so good things but the reviews are not recent thanks again love the content

I have been to kavos 3 times. 87, 89 and 92. I’m 50 now so it was very different then, you could still have family bars. But it looks tired and worn out. It hasn’t moved with the times at all. Some things have remained the same like basic accommodation and poor lighting. I wouldn’t go there now obviously but Benidorm is much better than this. Time to call time on this resort.
It’s down south for a reason, a corfiat minister once told me that they learned their lesson from Benitses the old party capital of Corfu back in the 70’s/80’s which is on the east coast, I love Corfu but kavos would not be my first resort of choice.
Been to Kavos 3 times in 2000,2002 and 2004, loved it even though it’s a bit of a 💩hole. The beach is small but nice. I used to hire a motorbike and go exploring the island. Do the police still drive down the strip around midnight and the bars turn the music off until they’ve drove passed due to licensing laws where they can’t play music after a certain time?🤔

I remember this too lol😊. The police would do a sweep and then the music would turn down. Not sure why they bothered.
Kavos isn’t just one strip it going round and down another road unless that has all closed down now
