I confirmed by trying it out. Using an example 135 cubed
135^3
5^3 = 125
Multiplier is 13/5 = 2.6
Going from right to left, it'll read.
2197 ...... 845 ...... 325 ..... 125 Then we double the middle 2 numbers as shown.
................1690 ......650 ...............Then we add.
2460 .........3 ..........7..........5
125 + 0 = 125 (Write 5 in answer, carry over 12)
325 + 650 +12(carried over) = 987 (write 7 in answer, carry 98 over)
845 + 1690 + 98(98 was carried over) = 2,633 (Write 3 in answer, carry over 263)
2197 + 263(263 was carried over) = 2,460 (Write 2,460 in answer)
Then it gives answer 2,460,375
135^3 = 135 * 135 * 135 = 2,460,375
You could probably try more numbers on your own. I'm no math wiz so I can't say how far you can go with this. But it looks possible with 3 numbers at least.
